Welina mai i Hawaiʻi – Welcome to Hawaii! 🌺
This week we continued our August spotlight travel destination with some island fun. We started things off with a virtual tour of the islands, exploring the culture and hearing stories of residents that were stationed in Hawaii during their service. Fun times!
Throughout the week residents donned their island attire. We wrapped up our island sunset painting project, enjoyed some ice-cold snow cones perfect for a hot summer day, and had so much fun on our Tiki hunt!
To wind things down, we delighted in some Hawaiian themed live entertainment featuring Carol Dabney. Carol lived in Hawaii and treated us to a very special and memorable performance. Thank you, Carol! 🍍🌴🌺

Aloha from the Manor at Benton🌺This month’s destination location is Hawaii and the calendar is loaded with fun! From morning exercise with Kellie’s Flex & Stretch class, afternoon movies in the theater, devotionals, painting, crafting, gardening🌿, Wahoo & Uno games in the market cafe, live entertainment, and the Manor Auctions where you’ll find loads of fun and chances to spend those Manor Bucks, there’s always much to do in the community! Special thanks to this week’s entertainers in the house: James Walden, Bob Joiner and Ms. Norma Cruise with Joyful Sounds, Justin Case, and the Garth Travis Band. Good times!!!
Next week we’re remembering Elvis with a special showing of Blue Hawaii and some Elvis trivia in the market café We’ll also be prepping our garden beds and getting ready for fall planting, learning to paint on canvas, going on a nice shopping trip, traveling to Hawaii for a very special virtual tour of the islands while enjoying some island flavors, and enjoying more live music!
Later, this month we’re having a luau and taking a trip to Murray’s Dinner Playhouse!🎭

We're excited to introduce The Good Living Series—a complimentary monthly speaker series designed to bring our community together for practical ideas, expert insights, engaging demonstrations, and inspiring conversations for living well.
Our first presentation, Living Well Every Day, will explore the many dimensions of wellness and how they work together to enrich our lives every day.

Whether you're looking for new ideas, meaningful conversation, or simply an enjoyable afternoon, we'd love to have you join us.
