Proud to help support dads turning their love, dedication, and lived experiences into a force for national change. Alongside 4Kira4Moms, 4Kira4Dads, bobbie, March of Dimes, Birthfund, and the Black Maternal Health Caucus, these advocates are proving that when dads speak up for maternal health, everyone wins.

Healthy Moms Healthy Babies America exists to cut the U.S. maternal death rate in half in five years. Days like today are how we get there. Dads aren't just silent witnesses to this crisis. They are part of the solution.

Charles Johnson, who lost his wife Kira hours after she gave birth to their son and has spent the decade since turning that grief into a national fight to end maternal mortality in America.

We’re proud to support 4Kira4Moms and Charles as they drive national awareness and - critically - bring fathers into the conversation on maternal health.

Tomorrow, dads and advocates are taking the maternal health crisis directly to Capitol Hill. We’ve got the highest maternal death rate in the developed world and 87% of those deaths are preventable. (Source CDC 2021)

America has the highest infant and maternal death rates in the developed world— and it has doubled in the last 40 years. Black women die at nearly three times the rate of white women.

The vast majority of these deaths are preventable.

Maternal deaths are the tip of the iceberg

The same gaps in care that kill almost 900 U.S. mothers a year also drive 41,000 stillbirths and infant deaths, 60,000 near-fatal complications, 430,000 babies needing intensive medical care, 720,000 mothers in mental-health crisis, and 1.2 million mothers left with lasting physical effects. The harm runs much deeper than the deaths.

And even she could not navigate postpartum care.
