Samuel Isaiah Sluyter of Springdale, Arkansas, age 29, died Tuesday, August 25th, 2026. He was born on Sunday, August 24th, 1997 in Rogers, Arkansas to Kirk Sluyter and Michelle Comiskey.

Samuel grew up in Bentonville and spent the majority of his schooling in Bentonville, but completed his studies in Homer, Alaska. He returned to Northwest Arkansas around 2017. He was talented on the skateboard, and had obtained several brand sponsorships. He loved woodworking and dreamt of a career in craftsmanship. He worked as a plumber apprentice at Pruitt Plumbing. He enjoyed travelling, being outside, hiking, fishing, animals, children, and loved the color yellow. He had a great smile, that will certainly be missed. He recently placed his faith in Jesus Christ on February, 2026, was baptized, and became a member of Bible Freedom Fellowship in Washburn, Missouri. He went on his first mission trip in June to Iquitos, Peru.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth Sluyter; his maternal grandfather, Matthew Ward Comiskey; one sister, Georgia Sluyter; two uncles, Matthew David Jeffrey Comiskey and Shane Sluyter; and two aunts, Patricia Brown and Kathleen Garza.

Samuel is survived by his father, Kirk Sluyter (Chelsie) of Springdale; his mother, Michelle Comiskey of Colcord, Oklahoma; siblings, Macy Black of Edmond, Oklahoma, Catherine Sluyter of Colcord, Oklahoma, Nicholas Sluyter (Brittany) of Farmington, Arkansas, Matthew Sluyter of Springdale, Arkansas, and Elle Sluyter of Springdale, Arkansas; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Sluyter of Gravette, Arkansas; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Jane Gerst of Colcord, Oklahoma; five uncles, Ronny (Janet), Kenneth (Janelle), Aaron (Cheryl), Charles (Christina), and Ben (Phyllis); two aunts, Trella (David), and Sara; two nephews, Theodore and Elijah; one niece, Lillian; numerous cousins; and many good friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.

A Visitation will be Thursday, September 3rd, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Decatur, Arkansas, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with his Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Gravette, Arkansas, Pastor Chuck Sackman officiating.

Pall Bearers are Nicholas Sluyter, Matthew Sluyter, Blake Sluyter, Luke Sluyter, Neil Po**ck, and Kenneth Sluyter.

Ronnie Edward Hall, age 68, of Rogers, Arkansas died Saturday, August 29, 2026 in Rogers at his residence. He was born October 6, 1957 in Heavener, Oklahoma the son of Eula Robins and Roy Edward Hall.

He loved playing to music and drinking beer in the garage. He worked for the City of Rogers in the Parks and Recreation for many years.

He was preceded in death by: his son; Ronnie William “Willy” Hall, his parents, his sister; Sheila Brewer, and one brother Allen Hall.
Ronnie is survived by: his wife; Carol Hall, of Rogers, two sons; Dusty Hall, of Rogers, Travis Hall, of Rogers, two daughters; Tina Ames and her husband Chuck, of Clifty, Jennifer Schronk and her husband Trevor, of Rogers, four brothers; Randy Hall and his wife Teresa, of Rogers, Steve Hall and his wife Linda, of Missouri, Danny Hall and his wife Stephanie, of Decatur, Chris Cockrell, of Rogers, and many grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday from 930am until 1030am at Eastside Assembly of God Church located in Bentonville. A celebration of Ronnie’s life will begin at 1030am with Pastor Larry Robins and Pastor Rex Robins.

Darla Christine Ferguson, 38, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on August 27. She was born September 6, 1987, in Rogers to Dana Wellesley and Donna Suzanne Polk.

Darla was a lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas and worked for many years at Walmart. She was driven, hardworking, and successful, but the thing that defined Darla most was her heart for people. She had a genuine passion for taking care of others and loved deeply, especially her daughters, sister Deanna and her mom.

Darla loved to travel and experience life. Some of her happiest times were spent with her friends and family traveling to the beach, dancing, taking cruises to the islands, boating, and simply enjoying the people she loved. She also loved to read and had a special love for her dog, Cocoa, who brought her so much joy.

Those who knew Darla will remember more than the things she accomplished. They will remember the way she cared for people, the love she gave so freely, and the determination with which she lived her life. Darla was someone who showed up for the people she loved, and her presence made an impact that will continue long after her passing.

Darla is survived by her mother, Donna Suzanne Polk and her stepfather Milton Polk of Rogers; her father, Dana Wellesley of Neosho, Missouri; and her two daughters, Alexis Marie Ferguson and Addyson Elizabeth Ferguson of Bentonville.

She is also survived by her siblings and their families: James Dean Wellesley and his significant other, Mary Jane Wellesley of Bella Vista, and their sons, J.D. and Joshua Wellesley; Jon David Wellesley and his wife, Cynthia of Pineville, Missouri and their children, Kashia McNamara, Jonathan Wellesley, and Zachary Wellesley; Deanna Sue Young of Neosho, Missouri, and her sons, Trevor, Trenton, and Tanner Young; and Aaron Paul Wellesley of Rogers and his children, Hunter, Chloe, Michael, and Carter Wellesley; along with several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Darla's life was far too short, but the love she gave during it was not small. She was successful. She took care of people. Above all, she loved deeply. Her family and friends will carry that love with them always.

Kathleen "Kathy" Jeanne Dewell, 71, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, surrounded by her daughters at the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Born on January 29, 1955 in Roseburg, Oregon, Kathy’s journey took her to Pierre, South Dakota, where she grew up. As a spirited young woman, she shared a lively childhood with her four brothers and discovered a lifelong passion for the water as a dedicated member of the Pierre high school swim team.

Kathy accomplished a remarkable 50-year career in retail. She approached every day with an unshakeable work ethic, taking immense pride in her profession and greeting every challenge with grace and a smile.

In her later years, Kathy found pure contentment in life’s gentlest rhythms at her home in Bella Vista, Arkansas. She could often be found reading her Bible, nurturing her beautiful rose bush, swimming laps at the community center, or enjoying the sun at Avalon Beach. Her days were made bright by the companionship of her deer head Chihuahua, Tiny, and the quiet comfort of classic Westerns and lively game shows.

Above all else, Kathy’s heart belonged to her family. They were her proudest achievement, her greatest joy, and her deepest love. Her spirit, strength, and boundless warmth will forever be carried forward by her five devoted children: Roxanne Blake, Elizabeth Dixon, Amy Artman, Hillary Kirby, and Sarek Kirby. Her five cherished grandchildren were the absolute light of her life, bringing endless laughter and happiness to her later years.

Kathy is survived by and lovingly remembered by her two brothers, Ken Dewell and David Dewell. She now rests in the eternal embrace of those who went before her, including her beloved mother, Margurite, and her dear brothers, Bill Dewell and Mike Dewell.

Kathy’s legacy of love, dedication, and gentle strength will live on forever in the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know her. To honor a life so beautifully lived, her family will hold a private celebration of life.

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beautiful sister, Kelly Owens, 49 of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Kelly passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at Circle of Life in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Kelly cherished her family deeply and took great joy in being a grandmother to Kennedy and Kason. She is survived by her children, Kendra Noe, Dakota Noe and Sydney Bonilla-Leon, her mother Dory Hamilton and stepfather Mike Hamilton and her father Mike Owens and stepmother Perlinda Owens along with tons of family and friends.

Kelly had a special love for her dogs, shopping and cooking. Kelly found happiness in the simple moments of life and in the time she spent with the people and animals that she so loved.

Kelly did not want a funeral and her wishes will be honored. Instead, we ask that those who knew and loved her remember her in your own way, holding close to the memories and moments you shared with her.

Losing Kelly leaves a heartbreaking emptiness that words cannot describe. She was a treasured part of our family whose memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Rest peacefully, my beautiful sister. You will be loved, missed and remembered always.

David Lee Foster, age 60, passed away Friday, August 21, 2026 at Circle of Life Hospice House located in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born February 24, 1966 in Berkley, California the son of Margaret Sue Frazier and Loren Lee Foster.

David enjoyed spending quality time with family and his friends. He enjoyed tinkering with older vehicles. He loved his career as a Civil Engineer, and enjoyed working with all his coworkers at APAC.

He was an active member of Central United Methodist Church of Rogers for many years where he served in many ways, he always strived to Live Out His Faith for others.

He was a handyman that loved helping his friends and family with various projects. He loved golf and sports, especially “Calling His Hogs.” He was co-owner of Dilly Dally’s Toy Store for 21 years with his wife Susan. He was preceded in death by: his parents, his sister; Debbie Foster, his father-in-law; William Bohning Sr. and his brother-in-law; William Bohning Jr.

David is survived by: his wife of 30 years, Susan Foster, whom he married September 23, 1995, his mother-in-law; Patricia Bohning, of Rogers, one brother; Donald Foster and his wife Barbara, of Green Forest, four nieces; Olivia, Audrey, Marley, and Sadie, two nephews; Nick and Alex, his brother-in-law; Mike Bohning and his wife Jenny, of Louisiana, his sister-in-law; Jamie Bohning, of Fayetteville, and many extended relatives and a host of friends.

A celebration of David’s life will be Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Rob Holifield at Central United Methodist Church located in Rogers on New Hope Road. Interment will be at Pinnacle Memorial Gardens located in Rogers.

Bonnie Rhea Henry, affectionately known as “BonBon,” “Mimi,” “Mom,” and “Babe” to her loved ones, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at the age of 70 after a courageous 26-year battle with breast cancer. Born on March 18, 1956, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she was the cherished daughter of Beverly Rae Woodson and Charles Edward Barrett.

To encapsulate Bonnie in just a few paragraphs is no easy task. She was a shining star, a beautiful light both inside and out. Her kindness radiated to all she met; she was silly, loved to laugh, and found joy in making others feel seen, heard, and comfortable. Above all, Bonnie loved her family fiercely. Resilient and unyielding, she never let life’s challenges grind her down. As a mother, friend, and partner, she was the epitome of what everyone desired to have and to be.

Bonnie grew up in Gentry, Arkansas, before moving to Springfield, Missouri, where she fell in love with a railroader she met at The Spaghetti Factory. They would be inseparable for the next 48 years.

Bonnie enjoyed traveling, recently exploring Europe with her husband, John, and her lifelong best friend, April Johnson, and her husband, Jim. She cherished quality time with her family, especially her five beloved grandchildren. Her passions included genealogy, history, and documentaries, and she was proud to be an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation Tribe, and a relative of the “Cherokee Kid,” Will Rogers.

For over 35 years, Bonnie was a talented hairstylist, owning salons in both Rolla, Missouri, and Rogers, before retiring in 2019 to pursue her dreams of travel, leisure, and being with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Brad Barrett, and her sister Mary Beth Clark. Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband, John Henry, whom she married on October 12, 1979; her daughter, Ashley Henry Kennedy, and her husband, Adrian, of Rogers; her son, Sean Henry, and his wife, Rebekah, of Rogers; her brother, Mike Barrett, of Gentry; five grandchildren, Rozalyn, Breckyn, Bridger, Stellan, and Bradley; and a host of nieces and nephews, including her baby niece, Shelby Hawkins Nelson, and her husband, Jeff.

Lonnie Ray Hawkins, 77, of Centerton died Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Freeman Hospital in Springdale, Arkansas with his loving daughter by his side. He was born on June 30, 1949 in Huntsville, Arkansas the son of Clarice and Julius Hawkins.

Lonnie worked for the city of Rogers for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Mickey and James; daughter, Julianne; and brother, Bill.

Lonnie is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Carolyn Hawkins, of the home; three children, Mable, Jilayne, and Jennifer; two sisters, Bonnie and Mary; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and family.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, from 1:00pm until 2:30pm with funeral to follow Pastor Jeff Franks officiating at Epting Funeral Home Bentonville.

Anthony Ryan Waddell, age 36, passed away on Friday, August 14th, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born on Saturday, August 26th, 1989 in Palestine, Texas to Patrick and Mary Waddell (Kellum).

Anthony moved from Palestine to Northwest Arkansas in 1993. He received his G.E.D. in 2008 through NWACC. He went on to travel in the Pacific Northwest, living in the outskirts of Seattle, Washington, and in the mountains of California before moving back to Northwest Arkansas in 2019. He enjoyed being in nature, being energetic, independent, generous, caring, compassionate, and had a good sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Carl Frank Kellum; and his paternal grandparents, Bill Waddell and Mary Ann Graham.

Anthony is survived by his parents, Patrick and Mary; his siblings, Bradley Waddell (Andrea) of Wilson, North Carolina, and Ashley Waddell of Cabot, Arkansas; his grandmother, Bessie Kellum; his nephews, Ethan Waddell, Austin Russell, Carsyn Waddell, Axl Bates, and other nieces and nephews, as well as several aunts and uncles.

A Memorial Service is planned for Thursday, August 20th, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Bentonville, Arkansas at 11:00 a.m.

In Loving Memory of Hatsuko German

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hatsuko German, who peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on the morning of July 18, 2026, at Shiloh Nursing and Rehabilitation in Springdale, Arkansas.

Hatsuko was, above all else, a devoted and loving mother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She dedicated her life to caring for and encouraging her children, always putting their needs before her own. Her kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering love touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She had a gentle spirit, a generous heart, and a remarkable gift for making others feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

A faithful Christian, Hatsuko’s trust in God was the foundation of her life. She often spoke of the hope found in Jesus Christ and lived her faith through compassion, humility, and service to others. Her life was a beautiful testimony of love, grace, and perseverance.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Jim German and his wife, Gayla (Of Rogers,AR.), and her daughter, Sandy Loucks (Of Mesa,AZ). She also leaves behind four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her unconditional love, gentle wisdom, and constant encouragement.

Hatsuko will be remembered for her warm smile, her compassionate heart, her quiet strength, and the countless ways she cared for her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched, the values she instilled, and the love she so freely gave.

Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we rejoice in the assurance that she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. We are deeply grateful for the many precious memories she leaves behind, and we will carry her love in our hearts forever.

The family sincerely appreciates the many prayers, expressions of sympathy, and acts of kindness shown during this difficult time. Your love and support have been a great comfort.
