We have become aware of the ability for patients to add documents to the patient portal. The system does not notify us when this happens so we are not getting these documents. Please DO NOT upload any documents via the patient portal. You should call and find out the best way for you to get your documents to us that day.

Our student Kamari’s rotation is almost over. I asked him to create a video fitting for a fun Friday. Hopefully we’ll get to see a few of our patients’ dance moves tomorrow.

FYI: Dr Savage will be on vacation next week. After the clinic closes at 2:30 today, he will be unreachable until his return on Monday, July 20th 7am. Please call with any med refill requests by noon today.

The day Dr Noble gave us notice, we had very little time to process what would need to be done before receiving a request from a local dermatology group whose lease would be running out this month but whose building has been delayed 3-6 months on completion re: any available space for a month to month lease. After hearing that True Dermatology needed the space to be able to continue surgical procedures for skin cancer, it was obvious “of course.” We’ve taken the last 6 weeks to organize and move out half of our furniture in order to provide short term and long term waiting rooms as well as half of our examination rooms and as of today, the nurses station. Dr Noble has been instrumental in organizing our lab, sample closet, new community closet and helped with our new vitals measurement cart. Dr Savage patients will notice this more soon as he will be moving over with Drs Noble and Tate when dermatology takes over the rooms on his side in 17 days.
How this affects you:
Andrea is checking patients out in a checkin position. Dermatology patients will utilize the sliding window in the lobby for checkin and checkout position for checkout
Nurse visits and eventual flu clinic will take place in our conference room just past the waiting room.
Breastfeeding room A is our community closet and Breastfeeding room B will be dermatology waiting room.
Mental health visits will move to telemed to accommodate more patients needing to be seen…currently the number of mental health patients can take up half of Drs Savage and Tate’s schedule. This change can easily allow another 8 spots a day for each doctor to see more patients.
The portal messages are being managed first contact by our MAs relaying info to us. This change has helped with timely contact other than on weekends. Please remember that when deciding to message vs call. Message is still preferred for basic questions.

This is the saddest post that I’ve put off sharing.
Dr Noble informed us in May that she will not be renewing her contract when it ends in late August. Her patients were informed at the time via letter but just so there can be appreciation from Dr Savage and my (Tate) patients for the times that she has helped out over the almost 2 years that she has been with us, I thought it fitting to share here as well. Her last day will be Friday August 28 and she will be starting at ACH Springdale in the primary care clinic in September. Please help us with giving her a proper thank you and goodbye before she leaves.
