My name is Marty Duane, and I’m the Case Manager Supervisor over Waiver services in Northwest Arkansas. I graduated from JBU in 2013 with a degree in Outdoor Leadership Ministries—or, as my family likes to joke, a degree in fire building.
My wife, Annissa, and I adopted our daughter, Livia, in 2025. She has Down syndrome and has absolutely changed our lives for the better—but dang, is she a spitfire! Becoming a dad has easily been one of the greatest adventures of my life. When I’m not working, there’s a pretty good chance I’m spending time with my family.
I’m also one of those people who always seems to have a project going. I enjoy working on our house, being outdoors, hunting, storm chasing, and probably taking on way more DIY projects than I should. I love figuring out how things work, solving problems, and learning something new along the way.
Professionally, I’ve spent much of my career working with and advocating for people with developmental disabilities. That work has taught me a lot about people, leadership, patience, and just how important it is for everyone to have the opportunity to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
A few quick facts about me:
•My faith is at the center of my life. I believe we’re called to love people where they are and show them the same grace and love God has shown us.
•I’m almost always working on some kind of project around the house.
•I love severe weather and storm chasing.
•Hunting and being outdoors are two of my favorite ways to spend my free time.
•I’m a big Razorback fan. Woo Pig Sooie!
•I have way too many hats.
•And if something breaks, I’m definitely going to try fixing it myself before I call someone who actually knows what they’re doing.
