My name is Marty Duane, and I’m the Case Manager Supervisor over Waiver services in Northwest Arkansas. I graduated from JBU in 2013 with a degree in Outdoor Leadership Ministries—or, as my family likes to joke, a degree in fire building.

My wife, Annissa, and I adopted our daughter, Livia, in 2025. She has Down syndrome and has absolutely changed our lives for the better—but dang, is she a spitfire! Becoming a dad has easily been one of the greatest adventures of my life. When I’m not working, there’s a pretty good chance I’m spending time with my family.

I’m also one of those people who always seems to have a project going. I enjoy working on our house, being outdoors, hunting, storm chasing, and probably taking on way more DIY projects than I should. I love figuring out how things work, solving problems, and learning something new along the way.

Professionally, I’ve spent much of my career working with and advocating for people with developmental disabilities. That work has taught me a lot about people, leadership, patience, and just how important it is for everyone to have the opportunity to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

A few quick facts about me:

•My faith is at the center of my life. I believe we’re called to love people where they are and show them the same grace and love God has shown us.
•I’m almost always working on some kind of project around the house.
•I love severe weather and storm chasing.
•Hunting and being outdoors are two of my favorite ways to spend my free time.
•I’m a big Razorback fan. Woo Pig Sooie!
•I have way too many hats.
•And if something breaks, I’m definitely going to try fixing it myself before I call someone who actually knows what they’re doing.

My name is Abbey Griffin and I am a Program Training Instructor here at Pathfinder! While this is my first time working with adults, I have previously worked in preschools and public schools with several individuals with disabilities.

I have lived in the Northwest Arkansas area most of my life, graduating from Bentonville High School in 2019. I then went on to graduate with my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from Southwest Baptist University in 2023. While I was there, all of my classes had a focus on individualizing lessons and activities to every student. One of the things I love most about this approach is getting to know someone and learning what works best to help them the most!

During college, I worked as a substitute teacher and was often in the special education classrooms. After college, I decided to go into the field of early childhood and I taught toddlers for the last few years. Throughout my career, I have worked alongside families to figure out the best strategies for their child's needs, whether they have disabilities or not. I also understand how important it is for individuals with disabilities to connect with others and feel like they belong. I strive to create a space where every individual feels welcome.

Here at Pathfinder, I spend my day in the art room, helping our clients create projects and express themselves. I am also one of the coaches for our Special Olympics cheer teams! When I am not working, I love to read a book, grab some coffee, and spend time with my fiancé and friends!

My name is Amy Scarpa , and I am a speech-language pathologist at Pathfinder in Northwest Arkansas. I graduated from the University of Arkansas with both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. When I was in graduate school, I even got to do an internship for a semester at Pathfinder! Over the years, I have worked in an outpatient medical clinic, public schools (K-5) and a pediatric clinic. I began working at Pathfinder in the summer of 2023.

I live in Centerton with my husband and three dogs. I have three “kids” (23, 20 and 18), but they are all grown and out of the house.

I am passionate about my job, and the clients I work with. I love helping them reach their goals and empowering them to communicate in whatever way works best for them. One of the best parts of my position is working with clients that use AAC, or could potentially benefit from it. It’s so exciting to give clients new opportunities to express themselves!

When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, hiking, boating, volunteering, spending time with my family, and playing roller derby.

Morgan Young
Supported Employment Lead & Special Olympics Coordinator

I’ve been part of the Pathfinder Inc. team for over a year altogether, first as an instructor then taking a short break after welcoming my 3rd baby before returning to a role I truly love.

Growing up with an autistic brother gave me a lifelong understanding of autism and the unique strengths, challenges, and experiences that come with it. That personal connection has shaped my passion for supporting individuals in reaching their goals and living meaningful, independent lives.

As the Supported Employment Lead and Special Olympics Coordinator, my favorite part of the job is seeing our athletes’ determination, growth, and pure joy. They work incredibly hard, inspire everyone around them, and remind me every day that success looks different for everyone. The laughter, friendships, and unforgettable moments we share through Special Olympics make every day rewarding.

There is truly never a dull moment at Pathfinder, and I’m grateful to be part of a team that makes such a positive difference in our community
