Let's Talk: The Offstage Series

The end of treatment gets treated like a finish line. It rarely is.

Backstage at this year's Symposium, Melissa Berry, founder of Cancer Fashionista, named something the healthcare system rarely accounts for: the emotional fallout, fertility challenges, and cognitive changes that show up long after the appointments stop.

Her point on peer support stayed with us. Family and friends can love you well and still not fully understand, because they haven't lived it. Connecting with someone who has isn't a nice extra in survivorship care. It is often the missing piece.

This is the kind of conversation we built the Offstage Series to hold. Grateful to Melissa for bringing it into the open, and to everyone who sits down with us backstage and speaks this honestly.

Let’s Talk Founder & Chief Visionary Deb Belfatto has been wearing Lingua Franca long before it was ever a partnership. Lingua Franca is featuring her as their Customer Spotlight, celebrating a two-time breast cancer survivor who turned her own diagnosis into a movement. Through Let’s Talk Women’s Health & Wellness, Deb has spent decades raising millions for breast cancer research and empowering women to become their own best health advocates. So proud to see her recognized by a brand she’s loved for years. 💗

"Talking is the first step, and a very powerful one. Voices matter."

Dr. Tonya Smith-Jackson, PhD, CPD, Chancellor of Rutgers University, Newark, said this at our Symposium and we haven't stopped thinking about it.

We're taught to take care of everybody else first. Our own health gets pushed to the bottom of the list, even with the people who love us most.

Talking changes that. Out loud, at the table, with each other.

Save this one for the next time you need the reminder. 💗

Less gatekeeping. More growth.

We took the information out of the hands of the gatekeepers and put it directly in the room with the women who need it. Real health equity starts with real access to information. Knowing what to ask for is the first step to getting the care you deserve.

The headlines had a lot to say about women's health lately. We read all of it so you don't have to.

Nearly half of women are more afraid of a medical bill than a cancer diagnosis. A single mammogram can now predict breast cancer risk five years out. Two hours of strength training a week is doing more for your heart than you'd think. And abortion pill access is still being decided in real time, with real consequences for real people.
We read the studies and sat through the headlines so you get the parts that actually matter.

Save this post and share it with someone who needs it.

"Knowing you're not alone helps us get the right information, the evidence-based knowledge, and really helps us thrive."

Board Certified OB-GYN & Hormone Expert, Dr. Tracy Verrico has been in practice long enough to know this isn't just a feeling. It's a fact.

That's exactly why this community exists. Not just to gather women in a room, but to connect them to experts who actually listen, and to each other. Because the second you realize someone else has been through what you've been through, something shifts.

Thank you, Dr. Tracy Verrico, for showing up on and saying what so many women needed to hear.

Save this. Share it with a woman who needs the reminder.

Five years ago, we asked a simple question: what would happen if women had a space where every dimension of their health was taken seriously?

This is what happened.

You finished your matcha. You booked the massage. You said yes to the bath bomb.
And none of that told you your ferritin was low.

Part 2 of self-care that isn't hype is here and it does not play around. Pelvic floor PT. Iron levels. Bone density. Sleep. Blood pressure at home. Mental health check-in.

Six things and all of them matter. Start with one or create and annual check list. As long as you take the first step. Save this one and share with a friend!
