Thank you for Painting the Town Green with us this year!
For thirty-one days, fourteen towns came together. We painted windows. We hung ribbons. We walked together. We learned together. Through conversations we had on the sidewalk, the park, the grocery store- we supported each other.
And to everyone who saw the green, whether it was a ribbon on a pole, a painted business window, a poster in a school hallway, or a yard sign in a neighborhood, thank you. Your presence mattered.
One person sent us a message after seeing our “Be Kind to Your Mind” signs throughout town. They said those signs mean the world to them. They have mental health challenges, and seeing our community show up for mental health awareness meant they weren’t alone.
And while Mental Health Awareness Month may have ended, mental health awareness itself never ends. The conversations we started in May continue. The support we built is still here. The connections we made are still strong.
If you’re struggling, you are not alone. If you need help, reach out. If you want to keep the conversation going, we’re here. Please also visit our website for resources and contacts.
Thank you to the volunteers, officials, organizations, businesses, students, families, and community members who made Paint the Town Green possible. Your commitment to breaking down stigma and supporting mental health will ripple far beyond these thirty-one days.
