Letโ€™s face it: It can be tough to find exercise information that isnโ€™t dominated by content about body transformations, dieting, or the โ€œmost effective workout.โ€ It can be even harder to find resources that focus on moving for enjoyment and supporting your overall well-being.

When we focus only on visible changes, exercise can start to feel discouragingโ€”as though our efforts arenโ€™t worthwhile.

But we can think about movement differently. We can prioritize how it makes us feel and move our bodies for our overall healthโ€”and joyโ€”without comparing ourselves to what other people are โ€œachieving.โ€ Here are some tips for rethinking our relationship with movement and exercise.

Attention, UC Berkeley students: Help bring new art to University Health Services! ๐ŸŽจ ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ ๐ŸŒผ

UHS at UC Berkeley invites currently enrolled students to submit creative proposals for a new art initiative. Selected ideas will brighten our public-facing interior walls and help create a more welcoming, inspiring space for our community.

Weโ€™re looking for original concepts that celebrate creativity, well-being, connection, and the spirit of Berkeley. Submit your proposal by December 31, 2026.
