Engagement team member Sokuonavy knows how important it is for every resident to feel their very best. Today, she took the time to pamper many of our beautiful ladies, and that smile says everything. 💄✨

Moments like these carry an even deeper meaning for us. A diagnosis does not change a person’s desire or their right to feel beautiful, experience joy, be cared for, and continue living a full and meaningful life.

At Silverado Berkeley, we don’t want our residents to simply be cared for. We want them to continue living a GREAT life, surrounded by love, dignity, laughter, and experiences that make them feel special.

Do you know who Julia Morgan is?

Today we spent the day cruising around town, admiring the beautiful buildings she created. To our surprise, we discovered just how closely our lovely residents’ lives had intertwined with hers. Some have loved ones resting at the Chapel of the Chimes, others lived next door to her beautiful homes, and one of our residents even worked on one of the houses she designed!

Listening to these stories made today’s outing even more meaningful. It was a wonderful reminder that the impact of one person’s life can continue to inspire, connect, and enrich the lives of others long after they’re gone.

Our annual Kids Camp at Silverado was a huge success! 🎉🧪

This year’s camp was filled with laughter, curiosity, and plenty of science excitement! The kids got hands-on with fun experiments, including making elephant toothpaste, and erupting volcanoes.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful residents who volunteered their time, shared their enthusiasm, and helped make this camp such a special experience. Watching generations learn, laugh, and create memories together is what Silverado is all about.

Our weekly lemonade stand has quickly become one of our favorite traditions here at Silverado Berkeley. It's more than just a refreshing treat, it's a chance to gather, laugh, connect, and create meaningful moments with our incredible residents and team members.

**BBQ... Again?!?** 🌭🍔

Yes! And we're loving every minute of it! This week, our chef gave our weekly BBQ a delicious twist with **Korean barbecue**, and it was a huge hit! 🇰🇷🔥

Not only did our amazing residents and families show up ready to enjoy great food and even better company, but the weather came to the party too! ☀️

This month, we proudly welcomed Wayne Sanner as our new Chief Executive Officer and President, as our founder, Loren Shook, stepped into the role of Executive Chairman and Founder.

For nearly 30 years, Loren led Silverado with one guiding belief: every person deserves to be treated with dignity, purpose, and love. That belief became who we are.

That legacy now moves forward. Wayne brings more than 25 years of healthcare leadership and the same commitment to the people at the heart of everything we do.

One thing we love at Silverado Berkeley is making our residents’ ideas come to life and this adventure was all their idea! After several residents requested an escape room experience, we made it happen.
When we arrived, everyone approached the challenge in their own unique way. Some residents jumped into action, eager to solve every clue. Others took a moment to think things through, while a few happily directed the team from their seats, sharing ideas and keeping everyone on track.
No matter their role, everyone contributed. By working together, communicating, and combining their strengths, our amazing team unlocked the door with 3 minutes to spare!
