August 1st I attended the Fireside Chat on DB Bedford new book The 11 Behaviors of Disrespect Hidden in Plain Sight. I very much enjoyed the conversation. A lot of times people feel disrespect but may have difficulty naming the actual behavior, what it precisely means to them and how they can respond to get the best outcome. DB has a way of sharing and teaching that is so personable and relatable to the everyday person. This is great information that can strengthen not just workplace culture yet any organization including sororities, frats, volunteer agencies etc.

I had an amazing time Black Maternal Mental Health Summit. There were amazing, empowering speakers aka change agents. It is always great to hear about doulas, mental health clinicians and policy analysts and how they engage with birthing people, their families and the community to improve mental health and mortality outcomes. Yet also supporting people to thrive. I had the honor of presenting my work on Inclusive practices geared at the non-birthing people and fathers in care.
