An offering to my grandmothers Gwen and Vivian
I have to admit I was terrified to share this with you because I didn’t want to get a bazillion comments telling me “you’re doing it wrong.”
For me, it’s about being honest with myself, that this IS part of me.
I’ve been soooooo afraid of this part of me because it felt “wrong” and “too out there” and I was afraid that everyone would judge me.
So, to overcome that fear I’m sharing this with you 💕
My ritual to call in guidance and support from my ancestors:
🕯️I lit a candle and made my grandma Gwen‘s favorite type of tea in one of the tea cups ☕️ that I got from her house on the table where I had so many meals sitting in one of the chairs 🪑 that I reupholstered with my father that came from her house so that I felt deeply connected to her in this moment.
I opened my space by doing some alternate nostril breathing 👃 cause that’s a really good way to ground, re-center, and clean & cleanse out my energy.
Then just talking 🗣️ to my grandmothers, asking for their support and guidance, and asking for what I really want and need. (If you’re someone that’s done prayer before, this feels really similar to me)
I had this little moment of connection and stillness that felt really really good. 🧘🏻♀️
The whole process (including set up) was about 10 minutes. 😍
If this is something that resonates for you, make sure you’re following me.
I’m gonna be more open and vulnerable about the parts of me where I’ve feared being judged because…
I want to set the example that it’s not so scary and you can do it too.
For you, it might not be on social media, maybe it’s talking to a friend or having that uncomfortable conversation with your partner or your mom that you’ve been putting off for months or even years.
It’s alllllllllll doable and I’m right there with you!
Wishing you a magical week
Much love 💕
