This is amazing news for those of us in smaller towns who do not have Friends Groups to raise money on our behalf.

Thank you to Massachusetts Council on Aging for the diligence in their fight for our elderly populations.

🎉 Today is a day to celebrate! 🎉

Great news for older adults and communities across Massachusetts!

Governor Healey has signed the FY27 Budget, maintaining $16.00 per older adult in Formula Grant funding and preserving funding for line item 9110-9002, including Senior Infrastructure Grant (SIG) funding.

This is a tremendous accomplishment—and it's one we achieved together.

Thank you to every Council on Aging that reached out to legislators, invited them to your centers, shared stories, advocated for your communities, and reminded decision-makers why these investments matter. Your passion and persistence made a real difference.

Because of your advocacy, Councils on Aging can continue providing the programs, services, and connections that help older adults thrive throughout the Commonwealth.

💙 As you celebrate this success, please join us in thanking Governor Healey and your state legislators for their continued support of older adults, especially during a difficult budget year.

Congratulations to every COA across Massachusetts, and thank you for everything you do each and every day. Together, we are stronger!
