It’s Day 6 of Fall Prevention Awareness Week, and today we’re focusing on two areas of the home where a little extra attention can make a BIG difference: bathrooms and stairways.

Wet surfaces, poor lighting, and a lack of proper support can increase the risk of falls. A few simple safety improvements can help older adults feel more secure and confident at home.

🛁 Install grab bars near the toilet and in the shower or tub
🚿 Use non-slip mats and keep bathroom floors dry
💡 Make sure bathrooms, hallways, and stairways are well lit
