Sometimes the smallest songs carry the biggest comfort. If your child struggles with tearful drop-offs, clinginess, or worries when you leave, they’re not alone, and neither are you! Separation anxiety is a very normal part of early childhood and often happens because children feel deeply connected to the people they love most. Songs like “Grown-Ups Come Back” from Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood can help reassure little ones that even when parents leave for work, school, or errands, they always return. Building predictable routines, practicing quick goodbyes, and offering reassurance can help children feel more secure and confident over time. 💙

Staying hydrated does more for your body than just quenching thirst! 💧 Drinking enough water can help support energy, focus, digestion, joint health, and temperature regulation, especially as the weather gets warmer. Keep a water bottle nearby, sip throughout the day, and remember that hydration needs can vary from person to person. Small habits can make a big difference in how you feel.

Was your baby sleeping well, and suddenly everything changed? Chances are, you may be dealing with a sleep regression. 😴💙 Sleep regressions are temporary changes in sleep that can happen during times of growth and development. Your baby may wake more often, fight naps, or have a harder time settling down. The good news? It’s usually a phase. Try to keep routines consistent, watch wake windows, and offer extra comfort as needed. Most regressions pass with time and patience. If sleep changes feel sudden or extreme, be sure to check with your pediatrician!

Doctor’s visits aren’t just for when your child is sick; they’re an important part of keeping them healthy at every stage of growth. Regular checkups help track development, keep vaccinations up to date, answer questions about sleep, behavior, nutrition, and learning, and build a trusted relationship with your pediatrician. From infancy through young adulthood, these visits help make sure your child is growing, thriving, and getting the support they need along the way. Schedule your child’s next well visit today!

As you may know, Dr. Punya Narain will be leaving PCA to pursue other medical interests. I am thrilled to announce that I will be rejoining Primary Care Associates as your pediatrician this July 2026.
I first joined PCA in January 2023 and had the privilege of caring for many wonderful children and families during that time. A year ago, I made the difficult decision to step away for personal reasons and I am now ready to return to one of my most cherished roles: walking alongside you through all the rewarding and challenging moments that come with raising children.
I have been a board-certified pediatrician for 16 years, and I love caring for children and their families from birth through young adulthood. It is a true privilege to be entrusted with what matters most in this world — your children.
As a mother of three myself, Dora (15), Sophie (12), and Alex (9) I bring not only my medical expertise, but also my compassion and firsthand understanding of what it means to raise a family.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband George, our three kids, and our six-year-old German Shepherd, Zoe. Whether that’s taking long walks around the neighborhood or simply being together. I also enjoy traveling, discovering new cultures, reading, practicing yoga, and riding my Peloton.
I look forward to this next chapter and to walking alongside my PCA family once again.

Thinking about potty training? Every child is different, and readiness matters more than age. ✨ Some signs your little one may be ready include staying dry longer, waking up dry from naps, showing interest in the potty, telling you when they need to go (or already went), or wanting their diaper changed right away. When those signs start showing up, keep it positive, patient, and pressure-free. Potty training is a process, and every child gets there in their own time.
