Today, we’re proud to recognize the Alabama Nursing Home Association on their incredible 75th anniversary!

For 75 years, ANHA has been a champion for Alabama’s long term care community, working alongside providers, caregivers, leaders, and industry partners to strengthen care, support the workforce, and advocate for the residents and individuals who rely on these services every day.

This milestone represents decades of dedication, compassion, and commitment to improving the lives of older adults and individuals with disabilities across Alabama.

We celebrated National Bingo Day!

National Bingo Day is celebrated annually on June 27th. The game traces back to a 16th-century Italian lottery called Lo Giuoco del Lotto d’Italia. When it arrived in the U.S. in the 1920s, it was originally called "Beano" because players used dried beans to mark their cards. The name "Bingo" was coined when an excited player accidentally blurted out "Bingo!" instead of "Beano" at a carnival.

Observed each year on June 23, this day honors late football coach Victor Hawkins and serves as a reminder of how essential hydration is to our health. From helping regulate body temperature to lubricating joints and preventing dehydration-related risks, water truly does it all.
