We were absolutely STUNNED by the incredible talents of Tom Winter during his performance for us! 🎻

Did you know a man could sing, dance AND play the violin all at the same time?! Well, Tom sure showed us it’s possible! And he didn’t stop there—he even paraded down our halls, bringing his music and joy to residents who weren’t able to attend the performance. ❤️

Today was another fun-filled day at Cedarhurst as we continued celebrating Farm Week! 🚜

Earlier in the day, we enjoyed some peaceful time by the pond, watching the geese, ducks, and fish frolic as we fed them dog food.

We also got creative and made paper plate sunflowers 🌻—and they turned out absolutely adorable!

During Happy Hour, it was time to taste the fruits of our labor! 🍉 We enjoyed our homemade watermelon rind candy, fresh fried corn, and a sweet Santa Claus honeydew melon. Everything was a delicious taste of summer! 😋

And to make the afternoon even more special, we enjoyed live country music from Joe Powell, who kept us smiling and tapping our toes. 🎶💃

We’ve had a wonderful week celebrating life on the farm together!

Monday was all about watermelon! Residents enjoyed sweet, juicy watermelon, watched us explode a watermelon with hundreds of rubber bands, and even started the homemade watermelon rind candy that we’ll get to taste tomorrow.

Tuesday brought smiles as Disky the dog wowed us with amazing tricks, while our Memory Care residents enjoyed a peaceful drive through the beautiful local country roads.

Wednesday was packed with fun! We took a trip to Eckert’s Farm, created colorful pony bead Indian corn crafts, and ended the day singing along as Hal and Kara performed classic country favorites.

We’re not done yet! Tomorrow we’ll finally taste our homemade watermelon rind candy, cut open a Santa Claus melon, make homemade skillet corn, and wrap up Farm Week by welcoming one of our favorite entertainers for Happy Hour!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this week so special. We love creating meaningful memories and celebrating the simple joys of the season with our residents!
