Before summer flies by, consider scheduling your child's recommended immunizations for the upcoming school year. Waiting until the last couple of weeks before school starts could mean limited appointment availability!!

🎒 Kindergarten: DTaP, Polio, MMR, and Varicella boosters

📚 8th Grade: Tdap, Meningococcal (MenACWY), and HPV vaccines

🎓 12th Grade: Meningococcal (MenACWY) booster and ask us about the MenB vaccination

We asked one of our hospice volunteers Joni: “How has hospice volunteering changed your perspective on life?”

Joni shared:

“It has helped me see death differently, rather than something to fear or avoid to talk about. I have come to understand that death is a part of life, Hospice care shows how much comfort, dignity, and compassion matter during that stage of a person's journey.”

💙 It’s the simple act of being there that can mean everything. Our volunteers bring comfort, compassion, and support not only to patients, but to the families and caregivers who need it most.

🧠 Know the Signs of a Stroke — BE FAST!

A stroke is a medical emergency. Recognizing the signs and getting help quickly can save a life and reduce long-term damage.

The information below could make a significant difference in the recovery and outcome of a stroke!

During a stroke, every minute counts. If you think someone may be having a stroke, B.E. F.A.S.T.

B—Balance Loss

Ask the person if they are feeling off-balance or dizzy.

E—Eye (Vision) Changes

Ask the person if they have trouble seeing normally.

F—Face

Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?

A—Arms

Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?

S—Speech

Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is the speech slurred or strange?

T—Time: If you see any of these signs, call 9-1-1 immediately.
