One of the reasons I’ve begun offering retreat collaboration and remote practitioner work is because of experiences like this.
Recently, I had the opportunity to exchange bodywork for accommodations while traveling through Lake of the Woods. My host, a Marine Corps veteran, shared how meaningful it was to receive dedicated time for rest, relaxation, and therapeutic touch.
What struck me most wasn’t simply the exchange itself—it was the reminder that healing, care, and human connection can take many forms. Sometimes a massage session becomes a moment to exhale. A chance to feel supported. A space to reconnect with yourself.
These experiences continue to affirm my belief that bodywork can travel well beyond the walls of a treatment room.
Grateful for the trust, the conversation, and the opportunity to share this work in new places.
