NCC Pediatrics Residency 🏥 The only tri-service pediatric residency program.

The National Capital Consortium Pediatrics Residency is the pediatric graduation medical education program located at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. It is the only tri-service military pediatrics training program, offering training for Air Force, Army, and Navy physicians. The program offers 12 internships each year - 4 for the Navy, 3 for the Air Force, and 5 for the Army. The

Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC and the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD have offered pediatric residency training since 1949 and as a combined program since 1995. The programs have a distinguished track record of training pediatricians who have become leaders in military medicine, academic medicine, the civilian community, and in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

🌷 Happy Mother’s Day to Our Incredible Resident Moms! 🌷

Today, we celebrate the remarkable mothers in our residency program who balance the demands of training with the joys and responsibilities of motherhood.

Your compassion, resilience, and dedication inspire us every day. Whether you’re caring for your patients, your children, or your colleagues, you do it all with strength and grace.

You’ve mastered the art of comforting sick kids at work and negotiating with tiny dictators at home. You can interpret labs, write notes, and pack a lunch with exactly the “right” color snack.

Thank you for showing us what it means to lead with both heart and determination. We are so grateful for all that you do—both in the hospital and at home. Honestly don’t know how you do it—but I’m pretty sure capes are involved.🦸‍♀️
