Advocacy at Work! 🦷

Dr. Seth Walbridge and Dr. Jignesh Rudani recently represented PDA by meeting with Congressman Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh) to discuss ADA’s advocacy goals at the federal level.

They asked Rep. Mackenzie to support the Resident Education Deferred Interest Act, which would provide interest-free student loan deferment during medical and dental residencies, and the Improving Dental Administration Act, which would close existing ERISA loopholes so that a state's dental insurance reform laws also apply to self-funded dental plans.

Drs. Walbridge and Rudani also asked Rep. Mackenzie to support efforts to retain senior-level dental positions in executive agencies to help promote and protect oral health investments.

🐿️❄️ Punxsutawney Phil saw his SHADOW this morning, that means SIX MORE WEEKS of WINTER!

Groundhog Day is a big deal here in Pennsylvania because Punxsutawney is Phil’s hometown and this tradition dates back to the late 1800s, rooted in German folklore brought by early PA settlers. Every year, thousands gather to see Phil make his famous prediction, making it one of the state’s most beloved winter traditions!
