When this 36-year-old patient came to me, she was concerned about excess eyelid skin and the subtle changes she had started noticing in her makeup application and overall appearance. This is something we hear during most of our consultations, as the eyelids naturally begin to change over time and can create a heavier, more tired look.

As we age, the skin around the eyes loses elasticity, often leading to hooding and excess skin of the upper eyelids. An upper eyelid blepharoplasty can help restore a more refreshed, natural appearance while still maintaining each patient’s unique features.

Her procedure was completed in a straightforward two-hour appointment with minimal downtime. The final clip was taken immediately after surgery, and we’ll see her next at her suture removal appointment to follow her healing and results.

When treating a patient who has undergone a previous facelift performed elsewhere, careful surgical planning is essential; especially when it comes to facelift incision placement and scar revision. My goal is always to create the most discreet incisions possible while achieving beautiful, natural-looking facelift results. In many revision facelift cases, this requires a customized approach to incision design that differs slightly from my traditional facelift techniques.
For this patient, we discussed preserving the temporal tuft, the natural hair in front of the ear, by placing the facelift incision within the hairline. This approach can help maintain a more natural appearance and minimize visible scarring. Unfortunately, her previous facelift incision had been placed directly along the hairline behind her ear, resulting in a more noticeable scar in that area. Through thoughtful revision facelift planning, we aimed to improve her results and the overall aesthetic outcome.

Under-eye fat transfer is one of the most precise and rewarding procedures I perform. The goal isn’t to “fill,” it’s to restore, using your own fat to soften hollows, improve shadows, and create a smoother transition between the lower eyelid and cheek.

Lip lifts are an increasingly common standalone and add-on procedure inside our clinic- and for good reason. For most of us, this area is particularly sensitive to aging. It continues to length as we age and can create an undesired smaller lip effect where the top lip begins to appear “weighed down”. During our consultation, the patient and I discuss where they want their lip to sit and how they want it to look. We also have a similar conversation before the surgery, as well, where we plan the desired look together. This procedure is a two-hour appointment from when our patients arrive to when they leave.
