Groovy morning and happy Wellness Wednesday!
I am learning as I go, and that's okay. The saying really is true: Once I know better, I have to do better.
9.5 years ago I moved from one Peninsula to another. Both Peninsulas, Michigan and Florida, are dominated by the health of the water, which affects the health of ecosystems. Especially for South-placed Florida, runoff from northern states may eventually end up here, seep into the aquifer, into springs, into the Gulf of Mexico, and on around to the Atlantic Ocean.
This process makes me think of the movement of fluid in the Divine Body Human. Our circulatory system is scientifically magickal, along with our other systems. Our bodies mostly know what is needed for healing. We can give ourselves the external tools - exercise, healthy nutrition, regular massage and skin care 🤓 - among other things, to help us maintain balance.
Imbalance may occur naturally too, when environmental factors are presented. I am nursing an insect bite directly under my eye. The swelling and redness are blah, but there is no pain, so that's groovy enough. I am taking both a steroid and antibiotic to prevent infection. The good doc gave cautionary advice about not touching it too much. 😭 But I have Lymphatic Drainage to perform to reduce the swelling. I already (sort of) rested for a few days and now it's game on. My swollen anterior auricular lymph node is doing what I need her to do. She is gatekeeping something invasive to protect my entire body, not just locally.
So back to water and the now underway hurricane season that affects the east coast, the deep south, and that impacts all of this groovy land.
As a home owner getting my garden started, I reflect on what I should and should not do to protect my internal and external environment. Below is a link where residents can input their zip code and determine the dates of fertilizer restrictions for the area.
I say all that to say: p**p in, p**p out!
