Thank you to and for continuing to highlight the evolving conversation around GLP-1 weight loss and its impact on facial aging.
One thing I appreciate about articles like this is that they help people understand that “Ozempic face” isn’t just one thing. Rapid weight loss can affect many areas of the face and neck in different ways, from volume loss and skin laxity to subtle changes in features people rarely think about, including the ears. As awareness grows, we’re having more open and informed conversations about what patients are experiencing after significant weight loss.
In this article, I discussed how even small details can make a meaningful difference. Following significant weight loss, earlobes can lose volume and appear thinner or elongated.
For some patients, a small amount of fat transfer can restore balance and complement the overall rejuvenation process.
Grateful for the opportunity to share my perspective and help educate patients on the many ways facial aging and weight loss intersect. As these medications continue to change lives, it’s important that we continue to evolve the conversation around the aesthetic changes that can come with them.
