3 incredible days at the ada conference in NOLA. Have you seen all of the news stories? It was incredible to be surrounded by the worlds, greatest scientists and doctors doing everything to make the world to diabetes, a better place, so grateful for the goal of ending diabetes.

Such an honor to be asked by the ADA to host a continuing education for healthcare professionals. We discussed the mental aspects and emotional burden of type one and type two diabetes we were aiming at explaining to healthcare providers, the daily responsibilities of diabetes and the emotional toll it takes on patients. I thought it was so important that three women with type one diabetes did the education what is the most important thing healthcare professional should know about the emotional toll of diabetes in your opinion.

I’m still buzzing from the T1 D Santa Barbara Summit with ! I had the privilege of teaching two breakout sessions on mental health and diabetes, and the team knocked it out of the park with the conference organization. Meeting new families and offering support on their type one diabetes journey was truly rewarding. Being part of this community is what matters most.

On Friday, I’ll be a keynote panelist at the Diabetes & Mental Health Conference alongside an extraordinary group of leaders. This conversation means so much to me. We’re not just talking about blood sugar—we’re shining a light on the very real emotional and mental health toll that comes with living with diabetes.
