What are your school rules on phone usage because T1 D children are allowed to have their phones, it’s a medical device. Did your medical team update your DMMP? Growing up in Philly, Bobby Clark was always one of my heroes

August, 13, 1949: Robert Earle "Bobby" Clarke was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba. Despite being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 14, Bobby Clarke went on to be one of hockey's most respected players in NHL history, playing 15 full seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Bobby Clarke is just one of our "Faces of Diabetes" exhibited at Banting house that share the message that you control your diabetes, not the other way around. Come visit Banting House to learn more!

Why do people with diabetes need mental health support??? insurance dilemmas!!!! Where do your emotions go when thinking about medical insurance?

07/22/2026

People are always asking me why people with diabetes need therapists that specialize in the condition. Why do you think it’s important? How do you explain to people the challenging days of severe lows or highs or explain what it feels like when you forget to put your pump back on and you left the house? Or you forgot your low blood sugar candy? Are you taking care of your mental health with diabetes?
