You've probably seen someone with the perfect smile and wondered... were they born with those dimples?

Not always.

Dimple creation surgery is a minimally invasive, in-office cosmetic procedure that creates natural-looking dimples by recreating the small attachment between the cheek muscle and skin that causes natural dimples to form.

Non-surgical things I do as a Beverly Hills facial plastic surgeon to look my best at my age โœจ

๐Ÿงด Daily SPF, no exceptions! Sun protection is one of the best anti-aging tools we have at our disposal.

๐Ÿšซ Not comparing myself to celebrities or influencers. A lot of "flawless" content isn't realistic, and comparison steals joy (and good decision-making).

โœจ Focusing on the QUALITY of my skin by investing in a great at-home skincare regimen that focuses on the health of my skin barrier. This is why I love K-Beauty!

๐Ÿฆท Investing in my oral health. This is an underrated part of facial aging. Bone and tissue support around the mouth and jaw affects lower face structure over time.

Let's talk about 's masseter neurotoxin moment. First, I love that Hannah has been so open about sharing her experience with the internet. This has been a great educational moment for patients to learn about this treatment.

If you saw the video you may have noticed that her smile looked "off" for a few weeks after getting neurotoxin injected into her masseter muscles for TMJ.

The masseter sits right next to a smaller muscle called the risorius, which helps pull the corners of your mouth out and up when you smile. When neurotoxin migrates even slightly into that muscle, you get exactly what she experienced; a shorter, tighter-looking smile. It's not permanent, it's not dangerous, and it fully resolves as the product wears off over 3-4 months.

What causes migration like this? Usually one of three things: imprecise injection depth, too much product too close to the smile muscles, or anatomy that wasn't mapped out properly before treatment. This is exactly why masseter toxin (Botox, Dysport etc) should be injected by a board-certified professional. This treatment requires real anatomical knowledge of where the masseter ends and the muscles that control your smile begin.

The good news: this is one of the safest, most effective treatments we offer for jaw tension, clenching, TMJ pain, and facial slimming when it's done with precision. I inject masseters weekly, and this kind of complication is rare when dosing and placement are dialed in correctly.

Moral of the story? Masseter Botox is fantastic. Provider selection is everything. ๐Ÿ’‰

Revision rhinoplasty isn't just "redoing" a nose, it's a completely different level of precision. Let's break down what makes these procedures more complex and what I look for before recommending one. ๐Ÿ‘ƒโœจ

Can facial exercises help reverse an aging jawline?!

I get asked this constantly. Here is the truth: facial exercises can tone the muscle underneath, but they cannot fight gravity. Once skin and tissue start to drop, no amount of reps brings it back up. Surgery is the only real reset button when wanting to reverse the effects of an aging face.
