It’s been a little while since we’ve shared an update on Auburn. Thank you for your patience and continued support.

Since our last update, Auburn has had two MRIs and a PET scan, all showing stable results with no new tumor progression. We are deeply grateful for this. Anyone who has walked through cancer knows the anxiety leading up to scans, so hearing “stable” is a true blessing.

If scans remain stable for a full year, his doctors may explore hyperbaric oxygen therapy or stem cell therapy as possible next steps to support brain healing.

We also want to be honest and transparent: while stable scans are very encouraging, they don’t necessarily mean life has fully returned to normal.

Auburn continues to struggle with seizures following his brain biopsy. We’ve spent months adjusting medications to find the right balance. While some treatments have helped, they’ve also brought difficult side effects including short-term memory loss, fatigue, and depression. We’re still working closely with his doctors to manage seizures while helping him feel more like himself again.

This past year has been filled with both highs and deep lows—good scan days, seizures, medication changes, fear, and uncertainty. Brain cancer has changed everyday life, and we’ve had to learn a new normal we never expected.

There are good days filled with laughter and gratitude, and hard days that remind us how much has changed. We’ve learned to celebrate small victories and take things one day at a time.

In the Bible, there is a passage from Habakkuk has anchored us:

“Though the fig tree does not bud… yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” (Habakkuk 3:17–18)

Those words—“Yet I will…”—have become our foundation:

Yet I will trust.
Yet I will hope.
Yet I will be grateful.

Not because this has been easy, but because God has remained faithful through it all.

Looking back, we are grateful for stable scans, time together, moments with loved ones, resiliency as a family, and the incredible care, prayers, and support from so many of you.

For all of it… yet we will give thanks.

We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we know who holds tomorrow.

Thank you all for the continued prayers, check ins, and support. We are so thankful for these stable scans, proud of Auburn’s strength this past year, and we will continue forward one day at a time—with faith, hope, gratitude, and always, “Yet I will.” 🤍

Wanted to post an update on our One Tough dad!!

Auburn had a follow up MRI yesterday and it came back good 🙏🏼 It looks the same as his last scan with no additional light-ups or anything new to be concerned about, which is such incredible news. We’ll continue monitoring and follow up again in three months with another MRI. Thank you so much to everyone who has prayed, checked in, and supported us through this journey — your love and encouragement truly mean the world to us ❤️✨
