I struggle a LOT to find providers to refer to who specialize in perinatal mental health, and waitlists for mental health providers are long! Our public policy is severely lacking any support for new parents. Hey fellow small business owners, love yall to bits but stop using Ai to make your promotional materials. Please. All of us would rather see you write out what time your workshop is on a piece of lined paper than see stolen artwork. I’d rather see a stick figure for your logo than an Ai generated image.

I’m a midwife, but I’m also an artist. I created many of the art pieces in my office. If I ever post my art online it becomes fodder for the Ai machine.

Your quick prompt saying “make me a logo for my business” is literally stealing art from people like me. I don’t even sell my art, and much of it is derivative from other art I’ve seen- but I still work hard on it and make it with my hands.
I buy art for my office from local artists, I pay an artists for any promotional materials I can’t make myself. It’s the cost of business and Ai images are unethical shortcuts. 😘
