HEALTHY TIPS OF THE WEEK.

PROTEIN!

Protein is so important for the body. It helps build and repair body tissues; it regulates our hormones.
If you eat enough protein, it will help preserve muscle with age, curbs hunger and helps maintain a healthy weight.

Some ways to get protein in is drink smoothies and add protein powder to it.

But watch your sugar.

Read the label.

Another way is to eat a healthy protein bar.

Again, watch your sugar, and read the label.

The following are proteins:
(chicken, turkey) fish, meat...lean, seeds and nuts, dairy foods, eggs, soy, peanut butter, cottage cheese, beans, tuna, tofu, oatmeal, milk, Greek yogurt, mixed berries.

If you're watching your food intake, track your food.

Also, if you love peanut butter. Measure it.

Plus, if you cook. don't fry your food.
Air frying, I hear, is better for you. If you love seeds and nuts, measure them and try to eat them raw, unroasted, and unsalted, if possible.

Also, broiling, steaming, and baking, is way healthier than frying! Finally, if you buy your protein from the deli, buy lean meat.

These are just some ways to get your protein in every day and add healthy protein to your daily food intake.

One more thing. Movement is essential. Motion is Lotion!

HEALTHY TIPS OF THE WEEK!

LET'S TALK ABOUT SALT......

Sodium is very important for you in small amounts.
Your body needs some sodium to function properly.
It helps maintain the right balance of fluids in your body.
It helps transmit nerve impulses, and it influences the relaxation of muscles.
But a lot of sodium is in processed and prepared foods. (This includes, canned veggies, soups, luncheon meats and frozen meals).
A bad habit many folks have is that they salt their food before even tasting it.
Also, many condiments have a lot of salt in them, like soy sauce, pickle relish, catsup, mayo, and commercial salad dressings.
You can purchase salt free condiments, and other spices, that are quite yummy.
Foods high in sodium follow luncheon meats, processed turkey, chicken, hotdogs, sausages, and dried meat.
Dairy foods, like cheese, processed cheeses, cottage cheese;
Frozen dinners, pot pies, canned, chili, mac and cheese;
Potatoes in a box, like augratin, scalloped, packaged with sauces and seasoning mixes, Ramon noodles. (try eating the foods without the seasoning packs).

HEALTH TIPS OF THE WEEK!

WE ARE TALKING DUAL TOPICS THAT INTERTWINE....
Fat loss myths that may be holding you back:

YOU CAN LOSE FAT WITHOUT EXERCISE:
Exercise and healthy eating go hand in hand when it comes to PERMANENT fat loss. Your body needs fresh produce, whole grains, and lean protein. Accept exercise as a part of your daily lifestyle!(30 minutes a day at lease and you can break it up throughout your day.)

EAT AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE FOR MAXIMUM FAT LOSS:
If you eat too little it causes your metabolism to shut down and puts your body into starvation mode, and you will store fat rather than burn it. ENJOY HEALTHY FOOD AND USE IT AS FULE TO MAXIMIZE THE QUALITY OF YOUR LIFESTYLE AND ENERGY LEVEL !!

SNACKING PROMOTES WEIGHT GAIN:
When it comes to snacking its all about WHAT you snack on...think veggies and fruit..NOT THE VENDING MACHINE. If you snack on Junk food be ready to pack on unwanted pounds.

SHOP SMART TO STAY ON THE RIGHT TRACKMAKE A LIST AND BRING IT WITH YOU TO THE STORE;
DONT SHOP HUNGRY;
LEAVE THE JUNK FOOD AT THE STORE;
STICK TO YOUR PLAN;
BE KIND TO YOURSELF!
Its also a good idea to check the store specials, and buy foods (produce)in season;
use coupons, on your phone, or clip them
