Big Sur Health Center

Big Sur Health Center The Big Sur Health Center is a non-profit organization providing local health care in Big Sur.

Our goal is to provide high-quality, comprehensive, personalized services through holistic approaches that focus on patient needs. Our bilingual staff is committed to building strong personal patient / provider relationships that empower individuals to reach their highest levels of well-being. We embrace the diverse cultures and age groups that contribute to the richness of the Big Sur community.

Because we believe that health care should be available to everyone, we accept most major insurance plans including Medicare, and participate in a variety of subsidized and sliding scale programs. The Health Center plays a vital role in the community by providing both preventive and urgent care, minor surgical procedures and basic laboratory and pharmaceutical services. During emergencies such as fires, storms and road closures that isolate Big Sur, your health center staff is always here to serve you.

🥕🌽🍅 Today is National Eat Your Vegetables Day! 🍅🌽🥕

Fresh vegetables are an important part of a healthy lifestyle and a great way to fuel your body with vitamins, nutrients and energy.

Summer is the perfect season to enjoy locally grown produce from farmers’ markets, roadside stands, backyard gardens and community farms. From crisp greens to colorful vegetables fresh from the field, healthy eating can also be delicious.

The USDA Dietary Guidelines recommend adults consume several servings of vegetables each day as part of a balanced diet.

Celebrate today by adding more fresh vegetables to your meals and supporting local growers in your community.

Ways to Support the Big Sur Health Center and Give Back to the Community

The Big Sur Health Center provides affordable, compassionate healthcare services to more than 1,200 patients each year throughout the Big Sur community.

While insurance and patient payments help cover some services, they do not fully fund the true cost of care. Community support helps ensure that everyone who needs medical care can continue to receive it — regardless of their ability to pay.

Your donation helps sustain vital healthcare services for residents, families and workers throughout Big Sur.
