📸 Throwback Thursday 📸

Today we're taking a trip back to June 4, 1972, when Bigfork celebrated the dedication of its convalescent facility along with a new 40-room nursing home and clinic addition.

These historic photos capture a memorable day for our community:
🇺🇸 Members of the Bigfork VFW Post raising the American flag while the Bigfork High School Band played.
🎤 Board Chairman Orbin Holt opening the dedication program.
👥 Seated behind him were Nick Krmpotich, Walter Zagrabelny, John Anderson, and Frank Ryan.
✂️ Board member Wayne Gustafson had the honor of cutting the ribbon to officially open the new addition.

More than five decades later, we remain proud of the vision and dedication of those who helped build and grow healthcare services in our community. Their commitment laid the foundation for the care and service we continue to provide today.

❤️ Thank you to those who came before us and helped shape the legacy of Bigfork Valley.

🎓 Congratulations, Bigfork Class of 2026! 🎓

Today we celebrate the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of the Bigfork High School graduating class of 2026. As you turn the page to a new chapter, we wish each of you success, happiness, and exciting opportunities in the years ahead.

We would also like to give an extra special shout-out to five members of the Bigfork Valley family who are graduating this year: Noah, Tessa, Brooklynn, Christian, and Savannah! We are incredibly proud of your achievements and grateful for the contributions you've made while balancing school, work, and all the demands of senior year.

Your Bigfork Valley family is cheering you on as you pursue your dreams and take on new adventures. Congratulations, graduates, you've earned it! 🎉🎓

We were honored to welcome Senator Grant Hauschild to Bigfork Valley’s Board Meeting this week.

Senator Hauschild took time to visit with our board members, discuss the needs of rural healthcare, and learn more about the important work being done at Bigfork Valley every day. We appreciate his support of rural communities and his commitment to the health and well-being of the patients and residents we serve.

Thank you, Senator Hauschild, for spending time with us and for your continued dedication to rural Minnesota!

From all of us at the Timberwolf Inn, we would like to thank everyone at Bigfork Valley (clinic & hospital) once again for servicing our community! Our specials for all the staff will soon be ending, but don't worry we already have plans to do it again in the future!

If you haven't gotten a chance to take advantage of these specials, come out this Thursday for our last Asian Buffet or dine with us Sunday when your kids 12 and under eat free off of our kid's menu!

Fresh out of a holiday weekend and right into the unofficial start of summer, this news is not going to be coming as any sort of surprise.
As of this morning, the blood emergency impacting our region is now in effect. Memorial Blood Centers is currently operating with less than a two-day supply overall and under one day for type O blood as hospitals enter summer trauma season.

Our amazing volunteers are the heart of the Gift Nest Shop, helping create a welcoming space for patients, families, visitors, and staff every day. From thoughtful gifts and treats to those little items that can brighten someone’s day, they help make our hospital feel a little more like home.
