Shelece Jorgensen died August 27th after a long and grueling battle with cancer. She lived her life surrounded by family and they were with her when she passed. She’ll be remembered for her kindness to strangers and anyone who struggled, and for making friendships she nourished for a lifetime as a worldclass letter-writer and gift-giver. But most of all she’ll be remembered for the laughter and light she brought in to whatever room she entered.

She was born Nov. 23rd 1970 in Logan, Utah and grew up in nearby Wellsville, the last child in a cramped and noisy house full of siblings and a rotating cast of foster kids, boarders and foreign students. Like all the kids in the house, she was kept busy with church activities and chores in the family’s half-acre garden.

Soon after graduation from Mountain Crest High School she impulsively moved to Taiwan, hoping to teach English as a Second Language. She was so eager for independence that she neglected to arrange a job and housing in advance. And it was there that her super power, a genuine sweetness and warm gregariousness, saved her like it would many times in her lifetime. She made fast friends with other American ex-pats who quickly helped her get settled. She would return to Taiwan years later, this time with her three children in tow, ages 8, 10 and 14. They stayed for three months with no other objective than adventure.

There would be many other adventures. During a Christmas break while attending Utah State University, she hitchhiked with a friend across Mexico. And, after meeting her husband Troy they spent a year together in Wyoming, living in a van while working restaurant and hotel jobs.

They started their family in Salt Lake City where Troy began his career in mining and geology and Shelece continued to pursue art, including illustrating pamphlets for the Utah Fish and Game Department. One of her paintings was featured in an exhibition at the Utah Museum of Fine Art. Later, the family spent two years in Fallon, Nevada and then Billings, Montana. In 2012, they moved for four years to Australia where they found everything new and different, and therefore, fun.

But, it was in Australia that Shelece’s cancer first cropped up, beginning an agonizing fight that would continue long after the family’s return to Billings. Through it all she never ceased being the favorite auntie of her many nieces and nephews, and all the kids in the neighborhood. And, she never stopped sending letters that always included drawings and some of the tiny charms and do-dads that she gathered from her many travels.

She is survived by her husband Troy Himes, son Arlo and his wife Anni, son Elijah and his wife Julia, and daughter Grace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30am on Saturday September 5, 2026 at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings, Montana.

Robert Carl Cinclair went to be with our Lord and Savior August 14th 2026 following a mercifully brief battle with cancer, his devoted wife, best friend and partner in crime, Tawnya was by his side as we left this earth to be with the Lord.

The Cinclairs have always been fiercely loyal, generous and as many people that can attest to know their family is to be a part of their family. Bob was a mechanic and loved fixing cars. He loved racing in bump and run and building his own engine every season with the help of his children. Bob loved going fishing and camping with his family and tending to his garden.

Bob is survived by his wife of 40 years Tawnya, his daughters Sasha (Tyler) Victoria and Isla Marnie Karlen, Bobby, Jameson, William and Ellie Mae, Audrey (Cody) Olivia and Charles, his son RJ and many other family and friends. Bob joins his mother Karen, his father Martin, his brother Todd and his Uncle Bob in heaven. And other family and friends that will be greeting him at the heavenly Gates. The weight of this loss is deeply felt Tawnya, their children, their grandchildren, and many other family and friends.

We hope you all find comfort and peace knowing that Bob is with their heavenly father.

Very early in the morning of August 20, 2026, our Lord held Barb’s hand and walked her to His House. Barb is now with Jesus forever and ever. God, Thank You for Blessing my Barb. We were together over 48 years. That damn disease stole her memory and her voice several years ago. Barb was very strong, very smart, and of course very pretty. I wish we had more time together. I miss her greatly.

Barb is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Doris Killeen of Helena, her older brother Dan Killeen of Corvallis, Oregon, and her brother-in-law Bob Schuyler of Missoula.

My beloved wife is survived by me, Bill, brother Mike and his wife Christie Killeen of Helena, in-laws Chuck and Lorna Schuyler of Missoula, David and Laurie Schuyler of Billings, Bob’s wife Jody (Schuyler) Corette, and many nephews and nieces throughout Montana.

After 5 ½ years in memory care, I moved Barb home, where she was finally safe. Barb spent her last 15 months in our home, comfortable and content. I want to thank the caregivers who cared for her at our home: Kristin, Teishia, Marina, and Lisa. These were the caregivers who really cared for her and stood by her at home the longest and until Barb held the hand of Jesus. Thank you for your caring and dedication to my wife.

Barb’s ashes will join her parents on Mt Helena. This private memorial will be Barb, her 4 puppies, and me, together one last time in this life until I join Barb on Mt Helena and in our Lord’s House.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend Joyce Evelyn Peterson passed away at the age of 96 at TenderNest Care on August 11, 2026. She is now in paradise with her beloved husband, Chuck. They were a true love story; you rarely saw one without the other.

Joyce was born on April 11, 1930 to Lillian and Ted Magnuson. She would have 3 brothers and one sister to complete their family. Life was tough growing up in the 1930s, which helped develop her resilient, strong-willed personality. Mom graduated high school in 1948 and moved to Fargo with 3 of her best friends to attend business college. During that time, she worked at Northern States Power Company . It was at this time she met Chuck “Denver” Peterson on a blind date, which proved to be a forever love. He was headed to the Korean War 1950-1952, but love letters grew strong and they were married on August 9, 1952 in Sherwood, ND.

Mom and Dad left their families and moved from Fargo to Billings, MT in June 1954. They had their son, Scott, a month later and a daughter, Sheri, in 1957. Because we were not surrounded with family, our family became very close and built lots of friendships. Our Bethlehem Lutheran Church family became a staple where Mom and Dad became involved in everything that served God. Faith was always #1 growing up. Mom and Dad were the best parents/grandparents, where unconditional love and laughter existed. They supported and showed up for any event that we or their grandkids participated in. Dad worked at COP Construction and Mom was a homemaker. When Sheri graduated high school, mom became a “lunch lady” at Washington School for the next 20 years. She always loved kids! Mom loved socializing, baking for family and friends, reading, watching and discussing the news, quilting, and “don’t forget” those afternoon naps!

Mom is survived by her son, Scott (Connie) and their children Joshua (Brook), Travis (Danielle), and Kirsten; her daughter, Sheri Reitz (John) and their children Megan and Joel; her brother, Bob (Ellen); 8 cherished grandchildren, and a “special daughter” Ione Bloom. Mom will be greatly missed by those who loved her!

Mom and Dad were married 69 years at Dad’s passing in 2021. They were in their original home nearly that long until they moved to WestPark Village. Mom lived there for over 5 years until her move to TenderNest this summer. She was blessed by caregivers at both facilities, along with St. John ‘s Hospice. We can’t thank all of you enough for your compassionate care with mom.

A celebration of life is planned for Joyce Peterson at Peace Lutheran Church in Billings at 1:00 on September 19, 2026. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Rodney Lee Smith, 66, passed away peacefully at home August 7, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born November 4, 1959, in Brainerd, Minnesota, to Glenn and Phyllis Smith.

His younger years were spent in Minnesota with his parents and five siblings before moving to Chariton, Iowa, where he graduated from Chariton High School. Soon after he moved to Colorado where he met and married his wife Mary in May of 1987 and was blessed with two daughters.

Rod was such a wonderful man, a loving husband, father and Papa. He was hardworking, honest, and he lived by the golden rule of ‘treat others how you want to be treated’ and rarely met someone who wouldn’t call him a friend. He is dearly missed by all who love him.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Cassie (Isaac) and Cara (Jordan); grandsons, Connor and Caleb; mother, Phyllis Smith; siblings, Vicki (Gerae) Olson, Crae (Tina) Smith, Carroll (Candy) Smith, Glenna (Jack) McVey, and Connie Mastin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Glenn Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 18 th , 2026, at 1:00 pm at Drury Hotel in Westminster, Colorado.

Shaun Brown, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering generosity.

He was a man who never turned away someone who needed help. To those who knew him, he was someone they could trust—someone who would listen, lend a hand, and be there when it mattered most. His kindness was not something he simply spoke about; it was the way he lived his life.

Above all, he cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Deanna Brown, and their three children, Michelle Woolsey, Raymond Brown and Sandra Speakerworth. He is also survived by his mother, Sandra Stroh, and his four siblings, Shane Brown, Victoria Thomson, James Fesseden, and Teresa Thomson. His family was his greatest source of pride and joy, and the love he gave them will continue to shape their lives for generations to come.

He was also deeply proud of what he built through hard work and determination. Starting his Technology company from the ground up, he created not only a successful business but a family of employees he cared deeply about. He took great pride in the people who worked alongside him and was grateful for the trust and loyalty they shared.

When he wasn't working or spending time with those he loved, he could often be found fishing—one of the simple pleasures that brought him peace and happiness. Those quiet days on the water were among the moments he enjoyed most.

His absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, employees, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind not only the people who loved him, but the many lives he touched through his generosity, trustworthiness, and willingness to help others.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished son and brother, a trusted friend, a proud employer, and, above all, a genuinely good man.

We will be having a celebration of life where all who loved and admired are welcome on September 4th 2026 at 5807 Mountain Front Ave starting at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Shaun Browns memory to Backcountry Hunters & Anglers. This organization reflects his love of the outdoors, fishing, and the time he cherished in nature. Donations may be made in his memory as a meaningful way to honor the life he lived and the things he loved.

Mary Ann Vroman, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, was called home to the Lord Sunday, August 9th, 2026.

Mary Ann was born on September 13th, 1930, to John and Mary Quinn in Aurora, Nebraska. She had fond memories of going to Nebraska Football games with her father and younger brother.

Mary Ann, a lifelong Catholic, always led with care, kindness and love so it was no surprise when she decided to enroll in Nursing School in Denver, CO.

While in Denver, Mary Ann went on a blind date with the man who would become her husband, father of her children and love of her life, John Vroman. John and Mary Ann married on December 27th, 1952. A life filled with 7 children, frequent moves from state to state, and many beloved boxer dogs was never without faith, love and laughter with Mary Ann at the helm. No matter the mess, struggle or disaster Mary Ann was always there to help with no judgement. Eventually landing in Billings, MT, the family became members of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She was always involved in the church community and was also a member of St. Elizabeth’s Circle, a ministry group, for many years. She worked as a nurse until her 3rd child was born, once her 7th child was in school, she returned to the workforce as a lab technician at the Blood Bank. She retired from the blood bank after 30 plus years.

Anyone who encountered Mary Ann knew that she kept God at the center of her life and allowed that love and joy to radiate through her. Mary Ann, on top of being a devoted mother and wife, made the time to be a caring friend, always ready for a game of dominos. She found solace and beauty in many of God’s gift. She could often be found gardening or off on a walk. While at home she was rarely without a book and often enjoyed a bowl of ice cream in the evenings while Jazz filled the house. She loved to travel and never worried about her children moving away because it became another place she would get to visit.

Mary Ann loved with an open heart and approached life with an open mind, she was a shining example of God’s love and everyone in her life knew how blessed they were to know Mary Ann.

Mary Ann is reunited in death with her parents, her brother and her husband. She is survived by her 7 children, Mary (Sam) Levis, Michael (Montse) Vroman, Ann (Duane) Grosulak, Patty (Clark) Schmidt, Jimmy Vroman, Susie (Kerry) Loran and Nancy (Ed) Regele, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

There will be a Rosary at 5:45 pm followed by a Vigil at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 25, at Dahl Funeral Chapel.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 26, at St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church followed by a celebration of life at the Knights of Columbus .

We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to the staff at St. John’s Moorberg Cottage for the extraordinary care Mary Ann received in the 5 years that she lived there. Their kindness and patience is a gift to all who receive it.
