One more evening to move, breathe, and listen to live music together in the Sensory Garden. 🌿

Tomorrow is our final Live Music Yoga of the summer at ZooMontana, with Stillwater Strings. Sound up to hear some of their beautiful music from class (as well as some birds who decided to join along)🐦

These evenings have been such a beautiful reminder of what can happen when we slow down and gather together.

Summer is going by way too quickly. ☀️

So before it slips away, let’s soak up a little morning sunshine together.

Join me for a pop-up outdoor yoga flow at Veterans Park this Tuesday morning. We’ll move, breathe, spend some time in the grass, and enjoy summer while it’s still here. Expect cold Lavendar towels for savasana.

All levels welcome • Bring a mat
Pay what you can • Suggested $5–25

Come spend your morning outside with me. 🌿

Lots of times on social media, you see the highlight reel. So here’s… just my day yesterday. 😋

A day in the life of a yoga teacher, dietitian + co-owner of Sportsball.

What you don’t see: meditation + journaling before any of this, plenty of admin and research sprinkled throughout the day, some asana (yoga poses) on my own, and probably more than half of what I ate. 😂 This makes it look like I survive entirely on “little snacks”… which, to be fair, isn’t *completely* inaccurate.

A little lifting, huckleberry smoothie, dog walk, garden veggies, teaching chair yoga, paddleboard yoga, more snacks, and ending the day on the water at sunset.

Nothing particularly glamorous. Just a really lovely Thursday.

Hope you have a great weekend! ☀️

There’s something pretty special about moving and breathing together in the sensory gardens. 🌿

And last week, we got to hang out a bit after class.

We flowed to beautiful music from Stillwater Strings , took some very enthusiastic jumping pictures, and then stayed after class to hang out, laugh, and enjoy the gardens together.

The yoga is wonderful. The music is beautiful. But this community might just be my favorite part.

We have 2 more Wednesday evenings together in the Sensory Gardens, and I hope you can join us.

Soaking up the last of summer on the rooftop. ☀️

We’re heading back to Shiloh Commons for four Wednesday evenings of sunset yoga — moving outside, watching the sky change, and enjoying these beautiful Montana evenings outdoors while we still can.

And no need to rush home after savasana. We’ll hang out by the firepit after class — BYOBevvy if you’d like, or just stay for the company.

🌅 Wednesdays | Sept. 2–23
🌅 6:15–7:15 PM
🌅 All levels welcome
🌅 Drop-ins welcome the evening of class

Early bird is $29 for all 4 weeks through August 23, so just wanted to keep you in the loop before it ends!

Come for one. Come for all four. Let’s soak up the rooftop season while we’ve got it.

20 years. 🤍

We were 18 and 19 when we got married, which feels absolutely wild to say now.

We really did grow up together.

We figured out adulthood together. Careers and homes and adventures and hard seasons. We figured out who we were as individuals while also figuring out who we were together.

And somewhere along the way, we started taking a jumping picture every year for our anniversary.

In the early years, this was actually a PROCESS. 😂 We’d set up a real camera, set the timer, watch it count down, run into place and try to somehow jump at exactly the same time.

Some of those pictures are blurry. A few have disappeared somewhere between old cameras, new phones and probably a box of printed photos somewhere. I went digging into some old Facebook albums for a few. But I kind of love that, too. Twenty years of real life was never going to fit perfectly into a camera roll.

Now we can take 100 pictures in a few seconds and pick the best one. But I love looking back at those early ones.

Two kids, really, learning how to jump together.

Maybe that’s a pretty good metaphor for marriage.

We’ve changed so much in 20 years. And I think some of my favorite growth has happened in the last few.

The more I’ve gotten to know myself — really know myself — the more I’ve been able to know Sam, too. To let love in instead of always bracing for what might happen next. To trust that we don’t have to know exactly what the next 20 years will look like to know that we want to keep walking into them together.

There is something really beautiful about growing up beside someone, while still giving each other room to keep becoming.

18 and 19 → 38 and 39.

A whole lot of life.
A whole lot of growing.
And apparently, a whole lot of jumping.

Happy 20 years to us. ❤️

Well...that was SO much fun. 🌅

Thank you for trusting me with our very first official Sunset Paddleboard Yoga class! Watching all of you laugh, challenge yourselves, and discover those tiny stabilizer muscles made my heart so happy.

Water + yoga = my happy place. 💙 There’s something so peaceful about moving with the sunset, then floating in savasana as the water gently rocks beneath you.
I already can’t wait to do it again.

If you’d like to be the first to know when we schedule another Paddleboard Yoga class, drop a 🌊 or a comment below!

A huge thank you to Yellowstone R&R river rentals for bringing the boards out and helping make this experience possible.
Until next time... keep finding ways to get outside, move your body, and soak up these Montana summers. ☀️
