✨ Doula Babies #59 & #60 ✨
What an incredible honor it was to welcome these beautiful twins into the world. 💙🩷
From the very beginning, Mom advocated for herself and made every decision with confidence, love, and her babies’ well-being at the center. Baby boy stayed head down, while sweet baby girl remained transverse for most of the pregnancy. After carefully weighing her options, she made the decision to have an elective cesarean birth—a decision that wasn’t easy. Having never had surgery before and only experiencing vaginal births with her other children, this was unfamiliar territory. She carried weeks of fear, uncertainty, nerves, and “what ifs,” yet she never lost sight of the bigger picture. She chose the path she believed was safest for her babies, even though it required her to face one of her greatest fears. I couldn’t have been more proud of her for choosing the path that brought her peace and put her babies first.
Both babies arrived healthy, beautiful, and absolutely perfect. Watching this family finally meet their little ones was such a special moment.
This birth story feels like it was always meant to be. Mom had wanted me as her doula during her previous pregnancy, but the timing just didn’t work out. Then she won my Mother’s Day Doula Giveaway and used it for this pregnancy. Looking back now, I truly believe everything happened exactly when it was supposed to. I was meant to walk alongside her for the birth of these two precious miracles.
One thing this incredible mama told me after her birth has stayed with me:
“I was nervous for weeks, antsy, scared… all the things. But I sacrificed for them. That’s the part that’s worth noting in my birth story, and the part that I hope inspires other mamas.”
And I truly believe it will.
Birth isn’t defined by how your babies enter the world. It’s defined by the love, strength, and courage it takes to bring them here. This mama embodied all of that and more.
To this amazing mother—thank you for trusting me, allowing me to support you, and reminding us all that bravery isn’t the absence of fear. Sometimes bravery is making the hardest decision because it’s the best one for your children.
Welcome to the world, Doula Babies #59 & #60. You are already so deeply loved. 🤍
