I’m excited to be presenting next Thursday, September 17, as part of the Parenting Series for Single Fathers.
My session is “Back to School With Two Households” — and if you are a divorced or separated dad trying to stay fully involved in your child’s school life while navigating communication with a co-parent, this one is for you.
Back-to-school life can get complicated quickly when there are two homes. Who keeps track of the school calendar? Who communicates with teachers? What happens when you find out about an event from your child instead of the other parent? And how do you respond when a simple email about a backpack, schedule change, or school form carries a whole lot more emotional weight than it probably should?
We’re going to talk about practical ways to plan, communicate, and coordinate so fewer things fall through the cracks — while keeping the focus where it belongs: on your kids.
I’ll be joined by Christianne Zurowski, a Body Intelligence Specialist, who will address what happens internally when co-parenting communication pushes our buttons and how to respond rather than react.
