Overview
We are seeking a Pharmacy Manager for a unique and diverse opportunity to work in a pharmacy that utilizes Long Term Care (LTC), retail, and compounding. We are willing to train across all three areas. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys working in clinical services, day-to-day workflow, and staff development, and is comfortable stepping into an all-on-one community pharmacy setting.
What You’ll Do
· Working closely with the Pharmacist in charge and overseeing day-to-day tasks in all departments of the pharmacy, including staffing, workflow, and quality standards.
· Verify, check, and dispense prescriptions for LTC, retail, and compounding facilities in compliance with state and federal regulations.
· Perform and supervise medication regimen reviews; drive clinical initiatives to improve resident outcomes and facility satisfaction.
· Lead, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy staff; coordinate training and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
· Collaborate with LTC facility nurses, prescribers, and administrators to resolve medication issues and support best practices.
· Provide coverage in the retail pharmacy, including verification, counseling, and immunizations, as business needs arise.
· Ensure accurate documentation, billing, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across LTC, compounding and retail operations.
· Manage inventory, purchasing, and cost controls for all pharmacy departments with the Pharmacist in Charge.
What We’re Looking For
· PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited school.
· Active, unrestricted New York pharmacist license.
· Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills, with excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
· An eagerness to be hands on and willing to learn the ins and outs of all things a pharmacy can offer their community.
Schedule & Work Environment
· Full-time position; 1 to 2 Saturdays a month, no evening work, no holiday work, no Sunday work
