At Nurture of Alabama, our mission is : to improve access to mental health support, reduce the stigma around seeking help, and raise awareness about mental health in our communities.

Founded in 2021 by Crystal Mullen-Johnson, Nurture is built on three pillars: Community Education, Mental Health Services, and Sustainable Growth.

Through our Community Mental Health Initiative, we host free workshops designed to educate, empower, and connect our community with information and resources that can help improve mental health and overall well-being.

Because mental health matters and access to information, support, and resources can make a difference.

Thank you Javacia Harris Bowser for participating, your work is appreciated.

Stay connected and meet us at the Negro Southern League Museum Birmingham for our next event on September 19, 2026, I look forward to seeing you there. Link in bio to register!

So many great memories were captured at our golf tournament this year at Highland Park Golf! We truly enjoyed the impactful mental health conversation Dr. Leesha Ellis-Cox had with our golfers. Our volunteers were helpful, engaging, and instrumental in making the event a success.

We also appreciate the art auction and display that the Trussville Pell City Nupes set up for a great cause. We look forward to inviting them back this year!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success. A special thank-you to the Nurture of Alabama, Inc. Board of Directors for supporting this event and helping make it a success!

If you have questions about next year’s golf event or are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact me, [email protected] or inbox me.

We look forward to another successful tournament I’m 2027⛳️💚
