Today, we celebrated the tremendous success of our September 2026 Accelerated 18-Day EMT Course at GoRescue EMS Academy!

Our newest EMT graduates traveled into Birmingham from across Alabama, Colorado, Kentucky, and Maryland and spent the past three full weeks training with us to become EMTs.

Over the course of the program, they completed 144 hours of classroom, didactic, and hands-on skills training, followed by 48 hours of clinical rotations where they gained real-world experience triaging, treating, and transporting patients throughout the Birmingham metro area.

We’re incredibly proud of everything this class accomplished and excited to see where their EMS careers take them! Congratulations, graduates!

A huge thanks to our EMS Academy Instructors and our dedicated clinical partners at Regional Paramedical Services, Inc., NorthStar EMS-Alabama, Rocky Ridge Fire Department, Center Point Fire District, Leeds Fire & Rescue, Sylacauga Ambulance, and Brookwood Baptist Hospital.

***Within 4 hours of graduation, Sabrina James (Class Chaplain) already passed the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam!***
