šŸŽ‰ Celebrating 75 Years of Caring and Commitment!

Today, we’re proud to recognize the Alabama Nursing Home Association on their incredible 75th anniversary!

For 75 years, ANHA has been a champion for Alabama’s long term care community, working alongside providers, caregivers, leaders, and industry partners to strengthen care, support the workforce, and advocate for the residents and individuals who rely on these services every day.

This milestone represents decades of dedication, compassion, and commitment to improving the lives of older adults and individuals with disabilities across Alabama.

We're grateful for the work ANHA continues to do and proud to be part of a community that shares the same mission: providing exceptional care and creating meaningful experiences for those we serve.

Congratulations to the Alabama Nursing Home Association on 75 years of impact. Here’s to many more years of caring, collaboration, and commitment! šŸ’œ

Richard Finds Independence Again

Upon admission to Redmont, Richard Lewis presented with significant functional limitations. He required moderate assistance for bed mobility, was dependent for transfers requiring a Hoyer lift, was unable to ambulate, and required maximal to dependent assistance with ADLs.

At discharge, Richard demonstrated a remarkable recovery. He progressed to independence with ADLs and cognition, setup assistance for bed mobility and transfers, and was able to ambulate over 100 feet with a rolling walker.

Through dedicated therapy and comprehensive support, Richard achieved 100% of his goals and is now preparing to return home to Mississippi with family support.

His journey reflects not only physical progress, but emotional and mental resilience as well. Admitted at just 22 years old, far from home, he overcame significant challenges and found strength through connection, compassion, and care from the Redmont team. His experience highlights the impact of true person-centered care.

We are proud to have been part of his journey and to celebrate his return to independence!

This CNA Week, we celebrate the heart of healthcare at Redmont Health & Rehab.

To our Certified Nursing Assistants, thank you for the compassion you show, the strength you bring, and the difference you make every single day. You are the first to lend a hand, the first to offer comfort, and the reason so many of our residents feel truly at home.

This year’s theme says it best: We’re Unbelievable.

And you prove it every day by being unbelievable, unstoppable, and unforgettable in the care you provide.

Your dedication does not go unnoticed. Your impact cannot be measured. And your commitment continues to inspire all of us.

From all of us at Redmont, thank you for everything you do.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

At Redmont, we are proud to serve and care for many veterans and families who carry forward the legacy of courage, commitment, and sacrifice. Today, we remember, reflect, and express our deepest gratitude.

Their service will never be forgotten.

Progress Never Stops at Redmont

When Toni Keenan arrived at Redmont Health & Rehab, she required substantial to maximum assistance with nearly all daily tasks. Even after transitioning to long-term care, she continued to need support—but with proper pain management and determination, everything began to change.

Once her pain was under control, Toni re-engaged in therapy with a renewed focus on her goal: returning to her assisted living apartment. With the support of a team that never gave up on her, she is now making incredible progress—walking over 100 feet, something she hadn’t done in years.

Toni shared, ā€œI always wanted to get back to my apartment/assisted living facility. Therapy did not give up on me, even when I had to stay long term, unexpectedly. Once I got my pain under control, therapy began again and listened to my goals. When I initially arrived, I could not do most things for myself. Now, I am making significant progress and am even walking over 100 feet, which I have not done in years! I am so happy and thankful to the therapy team!ā€

With a planned discharge in June 2026, Toni’s journey is a powerful reminder that progress doesn’t stop—and neither does hope.

Moments in Bloom is more than just this year’s theme for National Nursing Home Week, it’s exactly what we strive to create every single day at Redmont.

From the small, meaningful interactions to the big, joy-filled celebrations, we believe every moment matters. It’s in the laughter shared in the hallways, the compassion shown at the bedside, and the connections built between residents, families, and staff. Those are the moments that truly bloom.

This week, we’re proud to celebrate the heart of our community, our incredible residents who inspire us, and our dedicated team members who bring kindness, patience, and purpose into everything they do. You are what makes Redmont flourish.

Here’s to a week full of joy, gratitude, and beautiful moments in bloom.
