Something new is EMERGING at New Direction Counseling. 💚

Over the past several months, we have been working on a vision to address a significant need in our community: specialized substance-use treatment for adolescents and support for their families.

That vision is EMERGE — a new adolescent treatment program being developed by New Direction Counseling.

Our goal is to create a dedicated, welcoming space where teens can receive intensive outpatient treatment, individual counseling, family support, continuing care, and the tools they need to move toward a healthier future.

And this year, our golf tournament has an even bigger purpose.

This year’s tournament will help us continue our mission of making counseling accessible while also helping us move the EMERGE vision toward reality.

ChatGPT made a graphic from a drawing we frequently use with clients to help them understand the connection between the different symptoms and diagnoses to show how they are more closely connected than people think.

If you ever wonder why we see kids and why we want to strengthen families….here’s a why. While one kid was in a session, the sibling wrote this. While one is hurting, another is trying to strengthen. This is what we want to help build and grow in families.

One of the greatest things we get to do is help find a path through the pain and give a family direction and hope.

2nd Annual Bridging the Gap Conference is a wrap. Day 2 had great topics and speakers. We were able to see great connections made between the participants.

We are tired but already looking forward to next year’s conference. We are grateful for all of our speakers, volunteers, attendees, and exhibitors.
