Part One: 1 Week Post-Op Facial Rejuvenation & Rhinoplasty

It's important to remember that one week is still incredibly early in the healing process. Swelling and bruising are very much expected at this stage, particularly following a comprehensive procedure like hers. 4 Weeks Post-Op: Facial Rejuvenation

At just four weeks after facial rejuvenation, we are beginning to see the early foundation of this patient's result, but there is still significant healing and refinement ahead.

While much of the initial swelling and bruising has improved, residual swelling, firmness, and changes in facial contours are still very normal at this stage. Over the coming months, her tissues will continue to soften, swelling will gradually resolve, and her results will become increasingly refined.

In this video, our wonderful patient shares her biggest advice for anyone considering facial rejuvenation: follow your postoperative instructions, prepare yourself for the recovery process, and go into surgery with the right mindset.

Another look at our patients beyond the traditional before and after.

This wonderful patient is just 4 weeks post-op facial rejuvenation, and we love seeing her back to enjoying everyday life while her healing journey continues.

At this stage, she is still very early in recovery. Residual swelling is still present, and her results will continue to soften and refine over the months ahead.

But that’s what makes these photos so special. They offer a glimpse of what facial rejuvenation looks like outside of our clinical setting, without the perfect lighting, positioning, or standardized photography.

Natural results should look just as natural in everyday life as they do in our before and after photos.

As this patient approaches her 60th birthday, her goal is simple: she wants her outward appearance to better reflect how she feels on the inside and the way she has always pictured herself.

One aspect of recovery that is often overlooked is the psychological adjustment that comes with facial surgery. When you've spent years looking at the same reflection, even subtle changes can take time to become familiar. There may be moments when you look in the mirror and don't quite recognize yourself, and that can be a natural part of the healing experience.

We often remind our patients that recovery is not always linear. Just as the physical results require patience, so does the process of adjusting to your new appearance.

The goal is not simply to look different, but to feel like yourself throughout the process. And understanding that healing takes time, both physically and emotionally, is an important part of that journey.

Two weeks after a Revision Deep Plane Facelift, Deep Plane Neck Lift, Brow Lift, Fat Grafting, and Full Face CO₂ Laser Resurfacing.

At 2 weeks post op, she has already come a long way from those first few days of recovery, but there is still plenty of healing happening beneath the surface.

We started sharing this patient's journey at just 72 hours post op, when swelling and bruising were much more evident. Since then, we've continued to follow her recovery through those early milestones, and now at two weeks, you can begin to appreciate just how much can change in a relatively short period of time.

Two weeks can feel like a major milestone, but facial rejuvenation continues to evolve for months. Swelling will continue to subside, the tissues will soften, and her facial contours will become increasingly refined with time.

Every patient heals differently, and there is no single timeline that applies to everyone.

7 Days Post Op: Facial Rejuvenation

One week after a Revision Deep Plane Facelift, Deep Plane Neck Lift, Brow Lift, Fat Grafting, and Full Face CO₂ Laser Resurfacing.

At 7 days post op, the signs of surgery are still very evident. Swelling and bruising are present, the tissues are still healing, and what we see today is nowhere near her final result.

But recovery isn't only about what you see in the mirror.

At this stage, this patient is beginning to ease back into parts of her normal routine. Driving, light errands and returning to desk work as she feels comfortable. While she may still look very early in the healing process, she is already beginning to feel more like herself.

This is an important distinction when we talk about facial rejuvenation recovery. Visible swelling and bruising can last longer than the period when a patient feels ready to resume certain everyday activities. Every patient's timeline is different, and returning to normal activities should always follow their individual postoperative guidance.

We are incredibly grateful to this patient for allowing us to share this stage of her journey. The polished before and after is only one part of the story. This is what one week can really look like.

72 Hours Post Op: Facial Rejuvenation

This is the part of facial rejuvenation recovery that can feel intimidating to see, but it is also one of the most important parts to understand.

At just 72 hours post op, swelling, bruising, tightness, and changes in facial appearance can be significant. This is not the result. This is healing.

It takes a great deal of vulnerability to share yourself at this stage, and we are incredibly grateful to this patient for allowing others to see the reality of early healing rather than only the polished result months later.

Her biggest piece of advice? Do your research and know what to expect.

Having the right mindset going into facial rejuvenation can make a meaningful difference in how you navigate recovery. Understanding that you will be swollen, that you may not look like yourself for a period of time, and that healing isn't linear can help you feel more prepared for those early days.

What you see at 72 hours is temporary. The swelling will change, the tissues will soften, and the result will gradually begin to reveal itself over the weeks and months ahead.

This is 72 hours. Not the final result. And we are thankful to have patients willing to show you the journey in between.
