Back to School, Spring Terrace Style!
The backpacks may be smaller, the pencils may be sharper, and the classrooms may look a little different. But the first day of school still brings back a lifetime of memories! Our residents celebrated by sharing a few school-day stories, plenty of laughs, and the kind of advice you only earn after a life well-lived.
Their message to the Class of 2026-2027: Work hard. Be kind. Listen to your teachers. Make good friends. And try your best to stay out of the principal’s office. 😂
To every student, teacher, parent, bus driver, coach, cafeteria worker, and school employee in our community, we hope your first day is filled with excitement, confidence, and a little bit of small-town magic. Have a wonderful school year! 📚✏️

Thank you, Allen Health & Rehabilitation, for sharing the wonderful story of Mary Stewart Stephens, who recently retired after decades of serving Allen's residents and their families. Mary is a licensed social worker affiliated with the Daughters of Charity in Missionary Service, and her coworkers call her the "heart of Allen" based on the kindness, wisdom, and compassion she brings to every interaction.
As noted by the Alabama Nursing Home Association, Mary's example "reminds us that exceptional long term care is built on meaningful relationships, compassionate listening, and treating every resident with dignity and respect."

Eastern Shore’s team had a great time celebrating our 10th anniversary with Noland Health Services! But really, our story goes back a lot longer than a decade.

Noland has been serving Alabama for more than 100 years, and the company’s longstanding values of serving with compassion, dignity and excellence continue guide the work we do every day. Likewise, the Eastern Shore building has been a cornerstone in the community for almost 100 years, serving as a place of comfort, care, connection and hope.

It’s a privilege to carry forward the legacy of Noland Health and this special place. We are grateful to our residents, families, team members, volunteers, and community partners whose trust, dedication and support are the reasons we are here. We are honoring the past, excited about the future, and absolutely commited to providing exceptional care, creating meaningful moments, and ensuring that this community landmark continues to serve generations to come.

Garden home owners Ken and Martha Cook celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with friends and family at the Oaks on Parkwood’s Noland Hall. Congratulations to the Cooks on this wonderful milestone!

Spring Terrace residents enjoyed a little Logan Martin Lake life with a delicious lunch at The Ark on Logan Martin and a scenic stop at the dam. Beautiful views and even better company made for a wonderful outing!
