May and Mental Health Awareness Month is almost over! The UAB Community Counseling Clinic serves as a clinical training site for graduate students in the Counseling Program who are completing their practicum and internship clinical experiences. Because we are committed to enhancing the accessibility and affordability of counseling services throughout the community, all counseling sessions at the clinic are offered at a lot flat fee of $10 per session for individual, couples, and family sessions.

Your gift will make a difference in helping improve the lives of those seeking mental health, couples, and family counseling services, and will provide valuable training opportunities for student counselors serving in the UAB Community Counseling Clinic. The UAB Community Counseling Clinic will be closed May 1st - 8th during the break between academic semesters.

We will reopen on Monday, May 11th. If you are interested in counseling services, please call us at 205-996-2414, or if you leave a message we will return your call during the clinic’s operating hours.

The UAB Community Counseling Clinic will be closed March 9th–13th in observance of UAB’s Spring Break.

We are still accepting new clients. If you are interested in our services, please call and leave a message. We will return your call when the clinic reopens on Monday, March 16th. You are also welcome to reach out to us again at that time.

Due to inclement weather forecasts the UAB Community Counseling Clinic will be closed Monday, Jan 26th. We plan to reopen Tuesday, Jan 27th at 10am if weather permits.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to highlight the importance of mental well-being and to remind one another that no one is alone in their struggles. Our Community Counseling Clinic is such an important tool for our school, students, faculty, staff, community, and more! We believe mental health is just as important as physical health, and we are committed to fostering a supportive and affordable environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
This year, we are proud to announce that we’re launching a Mental Health Awareness Campaign to raise funds for our Community Counseling Clinic. Every dollar raised will go directly toward providing critical resources and support to those who need it most.
