Here's what happens behind the scenes at DeCoteau:

You walk into a therapy session with one clinician. What you don't see is the coordinated team working alongside them-trauma specialists, couples counselors, addiction experts, and clinicians trained in OCD, PTSD, and family dynamics.

When your case is complex (and most are), your therapist consults with that team. A client struggling with depression + PTSD + relationship strain doesn't get fragmented care from three separate providers. Instead, one coordinated team shares insights, aligns treatment, and ensures every part of your healing journey is connected.

That's the clinical difference between a solo practitioner and a multi-disciplinary group. Better outcomes. Fewer gaps. Your whole picture understood.

If you've felt the difference between fragmented care and truly coordinated support-or if you're curious how this works-we'd love to hear from you in the comments. What would it mean for your healing if your therapist had a whole team behind them?

Start as a New Patient and experience coordinated, trauma-informed care designed for your whole story.

In this painful moment, all of us at DeCoteau Trauma are holding our community close in our thoughts.

We know how heavy this tragedy feels, and we want to remind you that you do not have to carry those feelings alone. Please lean on one another, hold gentle space for those who are hurting, and check in with your neighbors and loved ones.

If the weight becomes too much, or if you simply need someone to point you toward healing, please reach out to us at DeCoteau Trauma.

You deserve a therapist who truly gets you. 🌟 It’s amazing how cultural understanding can transform your healing journey. Imagine discussing your family dynamics and knowing your therapist instinctively recognizes what you’re going through-no words needed.

Your therapist should know you-not just your diagnosis. Here's how we make sure they do.

Step 1: Listen & Learn - We take time to understand your full identity, background, values, and lived experience. This isn't a checklist; it's the foundation of everything we do. When you feel truly heard from the start, healing becomes possible.

Step 2: Respect & Honor - Your culture, beliefs, family structure, and identity aren't obstacles to work around-they're central to who you are. We honor that. We create space where all of you belongs in the room.

Step 3: Tailor & Adapt - Evidence-based therapy works best when it's shaped around *you*. We adapt our approach to fit your values, your pace, and what actually makes sense in your life-not a one-size-fits-all template.

Step 4: Heal & Grow - With a clinician who sees all of you, you develop the skills and resilience to navigate life's challenges with confidence. Healing happens when you're truly seen.

This is culturally responsive care. This is how we work. Ready to start your healing journey with a team that gets it?

Your teenager's mental health matters-and you're the person they trust most, even when it doesn't feel that way.

If you've ever hesitated to ask about anxiety, depression, or what's really going on in their world, you're not alone. Many parents worry about saying the wrong thing or pushing too hard.

Here are three conversation starters grounded in respect and care:

1. "I've noticed you seem quieter lately. I care about you and want to understand what's going on."

2. "I'm here to listen, not to fix or judge. What would help you feel safer talking about how you're feeling?"

3. "You know yourself better than anyone. What do you need from me right now?"

These conversations take courage-but so does asking for help. We believe that opening the door to mental health support is an act of strength for both you and your teen. If you need support navigating these conversations or your teen needs professional care, we're here to help.

You've got this. We've got you.
