We are so proud to share that our founder, Dr. Tara Harding, DNP, FNP-C, was just featured in Women’s Health Magazine to speak on postpartum care and this conversation could not be more important. 🤍
Women's Health asked Dr. Harding to weigh in on the raw, real postpartum experiences shared publicly by Kristen Doute and Nia Sanchez on The Valley and what she had to say is something every woman and every provider needs to hear.
Far too many women don’t seek help postpartum. They wait. They minimize. They tell themselves it will pass. And by the time they finally walk through a provider’s door, sometimes months later, things have already spiraled. We have a window and we are missing it.
Too often women feel like a stranger in their own body after birth. They can’t point to what’s singularly wrong and that confusion keeps them from asking for help. When public figures are willing to be vulnerable, it gives other women permission to seek care. That visibility saves lives.
If something feels off after having your baby, please don’t wait. Come in right away!
At Simply You Wellness, all of our providers have advanced training in postpartum care. And we know getting out of the house with a newborn is hard. That’s why we have pediatric provider Kevyn Smitherman on our team who can see mom and baby at the same time and is Postpartum International ( PSI) certified. Come together. Be seen together. 💛
