We're looking for board members! πŸ™‹

The Arc of Bismarck has openings on our Board of Directors and we want people who are ready to show up and make a difference for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community.

No prior board experience required. We welcome backgrounds in nonprofit leadership, finance, law, healthcare, marketing, business, social work β€” or simply lived experience in the IDD community.

Board members serve 3-year terms and meet at least every other month. It's meaningful work, and we need you.

We are looking for a new store manager!

We're hiring a Store Manager! You'd run the day-to-day at our thrift store β€” pricing, displays, staff and volunteers, keeping the floor fresh and the sales moving β€” all while funding programs for people of all abilities right here in Bismarck.

What we're looking for: retail experience (bonus if it's pricing/promotions/displays), a few years managing people, and someone who genuinely loves working with our team and our customers.

We're looking for a new board member.
The Arc of Bismarck has an open seat on our Board of Directors, and we're looking for someone who wants to help shape how this organization advocates for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across our community.
This isn't a ceremonial title. Our board sets direction, holds us accountable, and helps us stay focused on real impact β€” not just good intentions.
We're especially interested in people who bring:

Lived experience with disability, either personally or through family
Nonprofit, legal, financial, or business expertise
A genuine commitment to systems-level advocacy work

If you've ever felt like you wanted more say in how disability services and advocacy work in North Dakota, this is your chance.
Applications are available now β€” link below. No phone calls needed, just fill out the application, and we'll be in touch.

We are proud to support The Arc of North Dakota's initiative to gather stories illustrating how disability service cuts impact individuals and families. These stories will be shared with Rep. Fedorchak's office. Submissions are anonymous if desired β€” providing a name is optional, and only the general region is requested. If this situation affects you or your family, please share your story here: https://forms.gle/QdZCmmAjggMm8YTa7

Your story matters. Will you share it?
Cuts to disability services aren't abstract numbers β€” they're real impacts on real families across North Dakota. We're collecting stories about what losing services would mean for you or someone you love, and these stories will be shared directly with Rep. Fedorchak's office.
πŸ“ Sharing your name is optional β€” you're welcome to submit your story anonymously. We only ask for the general region, so we can show this is happening statewide, not just in one place.
If services disappeared tomorrow, what would change for you or your family? Tell us here: https://forms.gle/QYZcdzuGibWTpsJv9
Every story helps make this real for the people who can change it.
