Did you know? ADHD-related hyperactivity in females is frequently expressed as internal restlessness rather than obvious physical activity. Instead of constant movement, it may present as racing thoughts, mental overload, difficulty relaxing, excessive worry, or feeling driven from within. This difference is one reason ADHD in girls is often overlooked.

Hey Bixby! You know those little Jesus figures that get hidden around? I had little sloth figures left over from an event and I thought it would be fun to make a game of them! I’ve hidden these little critters all around the 74008. Within businesses (with permission), outside public areas, parks, trails, drive throughs etc. I’m hoping it can be something fun for the kiddos (and maybe adults!) to spot when you’re out doing your Bixby thing. Three types of sloths, maybe see if you can collect all three? Have fun 74008! Finders keeps as well! I’m hiding a ridiculous amount each day until all 200+ are gone and so no need to re-hide them or leave them! Want you to be able to keep the little critter 🦥

📱🧠 Is Social Media Rewiring Our Brains?
Social media has connected us in incredible ways, but research suggests it may also be influencing how our brains process attention, emotions, relationships, and rewards.
Some potential concerns include:
• Shorter attention spans from constant notifications
• Increased comparison and feelings of inadequacy
• Heightened stress and anxiety from emotionally charged content
• Disrupted sleep patterns
• Compulsive scrolling driven by unpredictable rewards (likes, comments, notifications)
• Reduced ability to focus deeply on one task at a time
The good news? Our brains are adaptable. Small changes can make a big difference:
✅ Set intentional screen-time limits
✅ Create phone-free times during the day
✅ Prioritize face-to-face connection
✅ Take breaks from scrolling
✅ Be mindful of how content makes you feel
Technology isn't inherently good or bad—it's a tool. The key is making sure we're using social media intentionally rather than allowing it to use us. Our attention, focus, and mental well-being are valuable resources worth protecting.

Ever wondered what coping skills Therapists love? Let’s ask them and see!

🌱 Your nervous system was never designed to spend all day disconnected from nature.

Take a few minutes today to walk barefoot in the grass. Notice the texture, feel the breeze, and allow your attention to settle into the present moment. Small moments of grounding can help create space for calm, connection, and regulation.

Slow down. Breathe deeply. Feel the earth beneath your feet. 💚
