đ Heartfelt Confession - Apologies for the long post.
I had something really sh*tty happen this week. Iâm still dealing with it: I have my moments of sobbing, moments of wanting to just lie in bed. Iâve had no desire to be social or around people, Iâve been ignoring my phone, and I just want to sit in my sadness.
I'm hosting a New Moon Womenâs Circle this Saturday. I really wanted to cancel it. I told my family I wasnât going to have it, I erased it from my calendars, and I just had to email the women who had already signed up, which I was dreading doing.
And then another woman signed upâŠand then another.
Last month, a woman who was going to join us let me know she wasnât going to make it because she was going through something and just wanted to stay home and be depressed. I urged her to come; I told her that this would help. That this circle is meant as a judgment-free zone where we can express ourselves and empower each other. Where we can ease the burden and loneliness we all feel sometimes.
Why shouldnât I listen to my own advice?
I realized, this isnât about me. Itâs about women coming together. Just because I am going through a hard time, doesnât mean that these other fabulous ladies donât need support also. Who am I if I can set my own issues aside to help another person in need?
The circle is still on! It is still going to happen in its own raw form. I invite you to join us. Yes, thereâs a good chance there will be tears (some may come from my own eyes), but thatâs okay. It is a part of life.
This Saturday July 11th at 6pm located at the Rollinsville Zen Center
This New Moon is in Cancer, and we are still in Mercury Retrograde. This circle will be a bit different in that we wonât be setting any particular intentions, but rather, pausing and giving gratitude for what is already in our lives. The full theme will be emailed to those who register and are attending.
