When I first started teaching a few decades ago, I thought my work happened inside the studio.
Now I know better.
The studio is just the meeting place.
The real work happens when someone picks up a grocery bag without pain.
When a grandmother gets on the floor to play with her grandchild.
When someone laughs because they sneezed... and no leaks happened.
When a client tells me they're finally sleeping better.
When someone who once doubted their body begins trusting it again.
That's the work.
It was never about the walls.
It was never about the equipment.
It has always been about people.
As I get ready for this next season, one thing has become crystal clear...
Community doesn't disappear because an address changes.
It grows because people choose to keep showing up for one another.
Thank you for continuing to show up for me.
I promise to keep showing up for you.
And for those who made it to celebrate my birthday with me, thank you.
