This family run restaurant sits directly on the Swinomish Channel and has been serving PNW favorites for over 30 years.

Halibut season is on and we were craving some, so we mixed a changing leaf and migrating snow geese viewing drive, into a visit to the quaint waterfront town of La Conner.

We enjoyed two halibut preparations.

Alaskan halibut with panko, macadamia nuts, & lemon beurre blanc.

Alaskan halibut, pan seared and finished with a shallot, garlic, cherry tomato, lemon & white w**e sauce.

Both were delicious and served with pride.

Well, saddle up, BBQ lovers! This family-run Texas BBQ joint is hitting all the right notes in the seaside town of Port Townsend.
The brisket boasts a perfect bark and is so tender you’d hardly need teeth! Tucked into a soft, tasty bun and crowned with pickles, onions, jalapeños, and a touch of slaw, this beauty will have you hollering “Yee-haw!” after the very first bite.
And don’t overlook the ranch beans! Creamy, savory, and seasoned just right, they’re a mighty fine sidekick to that delicious brisket.

Judging by several customer comments, there are plenty of Texans in these parts who appreciate the real deal—even this far from the Lone Star State. Looks like Mo-Chilli BBQ is bringing Texas-sized flavor to the Pacific Northwest!

There aren’t many places around where you can find perfectly prepared Peking Duck—but SOHO is your spot!
Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, their boneless roasted duck is served with delicate Chinese pancakes, sliced cucumber, bell peppers, green onions, and a savory Peking duck sauce. Wrap it all together and take a bite… oh, so delicious!

And then there’s the fantastic cold cucumber salad. Cool, crisp, and wonderfully refreshing, these marinated cucumbers tossed in sesame and chili oil really hit the mark. A perfect complement to the rich, flavorful duck.

If you haven’t been here yet, SOHO’s huge menu has something for everyone. And if you have been here, you already know just how great this restaurant is.

We visited Jack Niemann's for a protein fix. We can always depend on perfectly seasoned and charred quality beef, friendly neighbors smiles and a classic steakhouse dining room without the typical steakhouse snootiness here.

We have also enjoyed thier schnitzel's, sautéed mushrooms and chicken parmesan, on previous visits.
Blaine is fortunate to have such a restaurant in a wonderfully small town.
