July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month.
Mental health challenges can affect anyone, but the journey to getting support isn't the same for everyone. Stigma, cultural expectations, financial barriers, discrimination, and limited access to culturally responsive care can all make it more difficult to seek help.
This month, we honor the legacy of Bebe Moore Campbell, whose advocacy helped bring attention to these disparities and encouraged more open conversations about mental health in historically marginalized communities.
Reducing stigma starts with listening, learning, and creating spaces where people feel safe asking for help.
Every conversation matters.
Every story matters.
Every person deserves compassionate, respectful mental health care.
